Fallout: New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment. It will be published by Bethesda, though Namco Bandai will publish it in Oceania and a number of European countries.

Fallout: New Vegas will take place around Vegas, Nevada. It will take place in 2280, 3 years after Fallout 3 and 40 years after Fallout 2.

Fallout: New Vegas has not been rated yet, but is said to be aiming for a mature rating.
- 1.1.6 What are the system requirements? Does it use Games for Windows Live?
System requirements have not been announced yet. Fallout: New Vegas will use Games for Windows Live for its Windows PC release.
- 1.1.7 Any familiar names working on this title?
A number of developers from Black Isle Studio left to form Obsidian in 2003, and quite a few familiar faces remain to work on this title. Lead designer J.E. Sawyer was last seen - to Fallout fans - working on BIS' Fallout 3 iteration, Van Buren. Chris Avellone, designer who worked on Fallout 2 and created New Reno, is senior designer on the game. Scott Everts, (senior) technical designer on Fallout and Fallout 2, is a designer on this game.
