Jonathan Daggar wrote an article about NPCs and tactics. He called it "The Brute Squad's Guide to NPC's". If you're intersted, read it over here.

Every first stat is at the beginning. NPCs can advance through game, gaining exp. points when they kill someone (and that is a good thing, leave them kill your enemies, you just weaken them. They'll gain some exp. and you get all as usual), and numbers in [ ] are stats by levels.

There are some NPC that'll follow you only on certain locations. Beth Brahmin is a cow in Modoc, Jonny's dog will follow you until you find Jonny, and some other that cannot be compared with regular NPCs.
Thanx to CTsai and Jason Merrill for extensive NPC info. Also thanx to Lucian and Fuzzyhippo for some tips and Edward Karlinski for really, and I mean really, and really again, extensive NPC info...

Here is a list of NPC Talking Head Actors.

          Sulik

Hit Points

85 [93, 103, 113, 123, 134]

Skill

Melee

Carry Weight

200 [200, 200, 200, 200, 225]

Melee Damage

6 [8, 9, 10, 11, 13]

Action Points

9 [10, 10, 11, 11, 12]

Combat Modes

Berserk, Aggressive, Defensive

Location

Klamath

Weapons

Sledge hammer, Spears, Cattle Prod, SMGs

Comments:

Sulik is your first NPC. You'll have to pay his debts ($250 or $300, depends on situation, thanx to Jade for this tip) to get him, or you can get him for free if you free trapper Smiley. He's usually a must have (if you're a melee character, you won't need him since it is better to take sniper chars). He can carry a lot until you find a car, and can do a heavy damage with Super Sledge Hammer (not to mention how good he is "cleaning" the area). Since he'll spend almost all the time in first combat line, it is good to give him a good armor.
Note: Sulik cannot be slaver. If you are, he'll attack you.

         Vic

Hit Points

70 [77, 88, 102, 111, 117]

Skill

Repair

Carry Weight

150 [150, 150, 150, 175, 200]

Melee Damage

1 [3, 3, 5, 7, 8]

Action Points

8 [8, 9, 9, 10, 10]

Combat Modes

Aggressive, Defensive

Location

Den

Weapons

Rifles, Small guns, Small Energy Guns

Comments:

It would be good to keep Vic in your party, because later he can be very useful, since he can use Gauss rifle, which is excellent against Enclave soldiers. his repair skill may come in handy if you're not good with tools. But, in order to get him, you'll have to pay $1000 to Metzger (or $500 if you're a female and decide to do something with Metzger), or just kill the shit slaver!

         Miria

Hit Points

35

Skill

Unarmed

Carry Weight

100

Melee Damage

1

Action Points

7

Combat Modes

Berserk, Aggressive, Defensive, Coward

Location

Modoc

Weapons

Knifes, SMGs

Comments:

If you sleep with her, you'll get married. Not very good in anything, small amount of hit points is a good chance for you to be a widow/widower.

         Davin

Hit Points

35

Skill

Unarmed

Carry Weight

125

Melee Damage

1

Action Points

7

Combat Modes

Berserk, Aggressive, Defensive, Coward

Location

Modoc

Weapons

Knifes, Pistols

Comments:

Miria's bisexual brother. Total waste of NPC slot if you ask me. He is somewhat good with knifes, but again, can someone of his caliber help you against the Enclave? So, if you're a slaver, sell him.

         Cassidy

Hit Points

80 [92, 104, 116, 128]

Skill

Small guns

Carry Weight

175 [175, 175, 175, 175]

Melee Damage

1 [1, 1, 1, 1]

Action Points

8 [8, 9, 9, 10]

Combat Modes

Berserk, Aggressive, Defensive

Location

Vault City

Weapons

Rifles, Pistols, Knuckles, Knifes

Comments:

He's a must have. Give him Gauss rifle and combat is 50% easier! Due to his heart problems, it is not recommended to use drugs on him or he'll die. It is interesting that he can use drugs, if you leave him some in inventory.
Note: Sometimes, his skill will change to Melee, if you give him Powered armor. It'll be back to normal again after one or 2 levels.

         Lenny

Hit Points

126 [154, 181, 206]

Skill

Doctor

Carry Weight

125 [125, 125, 125]

Melee Damage

1 [1, 1, 1]

Action Points

7 [7, 7, 7]

Combat Modes

Defensive, Coward

Location

Gecko

Weapons

SMGs

Comments:

Lenny can be very useful if you give him the best SMG in the game. He is also good because he can take a lot of damage instead of you.

         Marcus

Hit Points

130 [145, 165, 175, 190, 205]

Skill

Big Guns

Carry Weight

275 [275, 275, 275, 275]

Melee Damage

10 [12, 14, 15, 15, 17]

Action Points

9 [10, 11, 11, 12, 13]

Combat Modes

Berserk, Aggressive

Location

Broken Hills

Weapons

Big Weapons, Big Energy Weapons, Melee

Comments:

This one is my favorite. Mutant Sheriff of Broken Hills. If you're a melee character, give him Plasma Rifle. If you're a sniper, give him either Rocket Launcher or a mini gun. He's great, but cannot wear armors. Oh yes, he's not sterile anymore :)

         Myron

Hit Points

70 [77, 92, 107, 122]

Skill

Science

Carry Weight

125 [125, 125,125,125]

Melee Damage

1 [1, 1, 1, 1, 1]

Action Points

7 [7, 7, 7, 7, 8]

Combat Modes

Aggressive, Defensive, Coward

Location

New Reno Stables

Weapons

Needler, Gauss Pistol

Comments:

Basically, Myron sucks in combat. He has a 30% to hit, and sometimes, he can do extensive damage if he hit Marcus. Once, the damage was 58 HPs with Gauss Pistol! Anyway, he's good for science use, he can create stimpaks and super stimpacks.

         Skynet Robot

Hit Points

115 [143, 155, 179, 197, 210}

Skill

Depends on brain

Carry Weight

225

Melee Damage

8

Action Points

10

Combat Modes

Berserk, Aggressive, Defensive, Coward

Location

Sierra Army Depot

Weapons

Depends on brain

Comments:

Character of this robot depends on brain you put into him. At least I think so :) So, I'm unable to state anything about him, because I placed abnormal brain and got a science robot, that refused to fight! On the other hand, some people got him to fight with small guns skill, and say that he is the best NPC in game.

         K-9

Hit Points

127 [129, 131, 133, 137]

Combat Modes

Berserk, Aggressive, Defensive, Coward

Location

Navarro

Weapons

Comments:

He's a good boy, but he always troubled me. He never hit someone for a good damage, and if you have Marcus, it could be a problem if he fires a burst and K-9 is near :)

         Goris

Hit Points

125 [134, 145, 155, 166, 175]

Comments:

Deathclaw is a great companion. Take a look at his damage! Cannot use armors or weapons.

Comments:

Basically, an average NPC, but if you're up to have a dog in your squad, I think there is a better one.

Have you played Fallout 1? Thanx you must know who this is. This is everyone's favorite NPC from Fallout 1 :) Note: Cafe is a random encounter in wasteland.
