Ok, this is kind of a personal thread for notes and such for those of you who frequent this forum.

I have two notes-
(1) I will be traveling from Sunday 8/22 - 8/29. So players on Kilrick and Wastelands, take note.

(2) Does anyone know of a forum where they do Call of Cthulhu?

Yes, enjoy your travel, Welsh, you deserve it ! 8)

As for Cthulu, we do have a section in Roleplane at VO. That section has been inactive, but a few great players - such as you - would make it come to life with style!

Cheers

Not that I know - at least not ilately. In old Roleplane someone tried it, if I am not mistaken.

I suggest you post in the PLayers Ideas your suggestion - and lets see what response you get. If two more people are willing to play, a thread can begin.

Heya Gonzalez.

Dont worry about being new to roleplaying, you will get the gist of it very naturally.

BTW I was thinking about your character - New players are encouraged to start in the New Thread (the A New Day has Come) that I am currently hosting/GMing. But an ex-enclave lietenant, hum...
Yup, we know the same people responsible for Enclave was responsible for the vaults - but nobody at the time we are playing (at the opening of the vaults after the end of the war) knows about Enclave instead of the organization itself.

So two ideas came to me:
1- You play in the New Day has Come thread (and your character would not show people what he knows about the objective of the vaults or the enclave - it would be either a secret that would torture him, or he would suffer from amnesia about it)

2 - We start a new thread with a different thematics, more centered in enclave/bos/rest of the organizations intrigue

I have to think about it and will post my decision in a couple of days.
Sure in either case more players are welcome Smile

Cheers

Zoe

Gonzales, imo you are way either too well equiped (advanced powerarmor?) or have the wrong setting/ character background (enclave) for any RP going on atm...

Yup... It looks like im screwed... Or maybe not...

Now read the fallowing:

After two days of wandering trough the dessert, our friend Mark comes across what it looks to be a group of people traveling to the north of his position. Mark uses the oil lenses on his armor visor to amplify the image. He sees what it looks to be a group of armed men, obviously a group of raiders. Mark then decides to follow them from far away, so they don’t spot his position and notice his presence.
When the night falls, the raiders set an encampment, consisting of two tents and a fire pit. There is one guard guarding by the tents, and the one that appears to be the leader is standing a far patrol around the camp.
Mark manages to get near the camp without being detected using his night vision system. He notices that the slaver leader that is standing watch gets a bit too away from the camp. Then Mark takes his chances and decides to act. He approaches sneaking from the back of the raider, and suddenly takes the knife that the raider has on his ankle, covers his mouth with his hand and stabs him in the throat. After doing this he takes the raider’s armor, a brand new combat armor, and exchanges it for the one he was wearing, then he loots the raider for his assault rifle and extra 5mm ammo, and heads towards the camp. The guard by the tents sees mark and think he is his leader, but he notices his mistake too late, as Mark shoot him in the face and proceed to spray on the tents before the other raiders had a chance to respond.
After have been slaughtered the well armed raiders, he takes supplies, as water and food and puts it on a backpack. He also takes weapons: a Dessert Eagle, and an AK112 assault rifle, ammo, and an ammo belt to carry it. This way he adopts a new identity, as Mark. With no past except the one after he walked out from that camp, he began a new life.
Still he took some precautions though: he buried his Power Armor, which its also his uniform and his dog tags and marked its coordinates on his Pip Boy, just in case he needed them again. But no one should know the truth about his past, because of the high danger it would mean to the Enclave, and most importantly, to himself.

Now, from here on in we can move further in any direction we want... C'mon, this GOT to increase the possibilities.

The thing is, the Enclavce is a FO2 era thing.

The currently active RPs are not FO2 era in setting.

Psycho, if there is an enclave during FO2, it also means it was already there during FO1 dont you think?

probably much lower profile than in FO2, but it had to be there... they didnt pop out of the sea and said "jolly good, lets kill every living entity on the globe except us".

Thanks for that one SuAside.

I can implemet that the vertibird he was when it crashed was an scout one, rigth from the biggining of the opening of the vaults. And was send in reconnaince to retrieve information for the very same plan that the Enclave was evaluating at that point. But since the incident whit the vertibird, they delayed even more they appearance in the wasteland to prevent more of this compromising accidents.
Now our character has to leave behind all his previous belives, and join whit what the Enclave considers mutations and spend whit them the rest of his life, and then realize how mistaken the Enclave ideals were.

I don't know, jut an idea. I respect that there is a timeline that we must fallow in order to not distortionate the Fallout universe, but lets not get so paranoid about it. No offense.

And thanks all of you for your opinions, they have been most helpful.

PD: I don't know how reliable the spell check is, so let me know if there are some horrorous or not so horrorous ortography errors. Since i am argentinian and don't use the english language to communicate as often. Maybe there are some invented words or something.

I have been thinking while checking the forum, and it has occurred to me. Why not to star a new roleplaying topic and a new story myself. This story will take pace in the FO2 universe. All i need is some people willing to fallow me into this.

So. What do you guys think? Could be cool...
Anyone up to..?
Just need some people interested to start. And sice i am a writer and an avid Fallout player i don't think i will have much trouble on starting the story, heck we can even continue from when Mark walks away from the raider camp. Just need to come across someone and we got a story.

well i think atm most players have their hands full with current RPs (i'm in Wasteland/V15, Kilrick, New Mission/A new day has come & First Mission)

First mission is the newby provingground (although it isnt going as i hoped). It's supposed to be an RP open to anyone, so they can prove their abilities. It's just after FO1, the Hub has been destroyed by mutants and the brotherhood is trying to hunt down all remaining muties.

A new day has come is a RP in Europe (vaults open no more than 2 years after the war)

Kilrick is an advanced RP near NY (advanced equipment & characters)

Vault15/Wasteland is a RP based on FO1, where we play the FO1 storyline, but Melvin/Dwemer are vault dwellers send out for the chip BEFORE the real VD gets send out.

your character would make some weird sense in First Mission, as you are maybe the first enclave soldier being confronted with SuperMutants. later you maybe tell the Enclave about it, and the FO2 plotline gets started...

I understand there is a lot going on here - but I do think it would be acceptable to have a new rpg going on IF there are enough people to be in it (at least three players interested) . I would supervise it (and other moderators would be welcome to participate if they will)

So, those players who would be willing to play, can say here. As I said in the other post, I am giving a couple of days to see how people respond to the idea. It would be pointless to start an rpg without potential players.

Will wait for a couple of days then. If three players do not show i will join an existing RP, one of the recommended by SuAside maybe. Or I could join an RP and, if someone get's interested in the meanwhile, we start with the FO2 RP idea.
We'll see.
