I once foudn a video of a mdo that added some new unarmed movements, like a Tackle and stuff, but I can't remember howi t was called, does somebody know how a mdoe liek that?
Also, there are various visual improving mods, and some mods that added more hair options, but as you know looking for somethign liek that in Nexus leads you to find mountains of horrible "moe" style mods.
Also, si tehre a mod to make child npcs not only killable but also agressive? I have noticed that child NPCS never attack, they just run.

I really like this power armour, but it might depend how you feel about tactics, at any rate it's really well done.

Killable kids

I found this the other day, it was rather hard find. It use to be on the nexus but got removed for some reason.

Some random question: Wasn't there somewhere a mod that adds Floaters to the game?

Mart's Monster Mod did add Floaters for Fallout 3 but I haven't seen any that add them to NV.

Oh wait, Very Voracious Vermin does.

Some of my favorites in no particular order:

For those who prefer light armor: JaySus Rogue Ranger Coats

A mod that adds a ton of appropriate tracks to Radio New Vegas: Radio New Vegas - The Secret Stash

Want to play a mad scientist? This mod allows you to build robots and turn your felled foes into undead servants. It also contains a few minor additions, such as the ability to consume cigarettes: BuildableBotsNV

A really nice exp balance mod with lots of options to choose from:
Experience Level Adjust Mod

This mod allows the Courier to recruit Melissa Lewis: Melissa Lewis Companion

A traits and perks mods that brings back some old Fallout favorites: ST Traits and Perks (note you'll need to start a new character to get the most out of it)

For those who want to RP an Enclave remnant: Enclave Commander

Tired of getting good karma for defending yourself from Fiends? Killing Karma Rewards Removed is what you need.

FNV Better Cannibals greatly augments the vanilla Cannibal perk by adding recipes and the ability to tear your victims to shreds.

A real nice Night Vision Goggles mod (requires NVSE): Alexscorpions Nightvision Goggles (goes great with Fellout NV)

Jetpack Mod NVSE Beta: Self-explanatory.

CASM_NV greatly reduces the chance of corrupted save files (requires NVSE).

The New Bison Steve Hotel and Lucky Casino adds a nice quest that allows you to rebuild the Bison Steve in Primm.

New Vegas Bounties I and New Vegas Bounties II

This probably isn't what you are looking for, but Sprint Mod offers a tackle perk.

Man there are so man mods out there..

I already finished NV when it came out, but I thought with two new dlcs I might give it another try. First time I modded it heavily with lots of small mods. My main problem is with the difficulty, the orginal game was really easy in my opinion. Which big rebalance mod would the community recommend? As far as I know they are mutually exclusive?
I hope I can get some fallout 1/2 feeling..

This is the best mod so far regarding how handling XP gain, I use it since version 1.0 too.
Strangelly, after installing HH the optional plugins stopped working, the modder is looking at it.

Another one for the list is Ammo Missing Recipes, from LFox. This mod is well balanced and trully expand the way you play the game, offering new alternatives.
Really, what purpose is having a high repair if you can't craft AP ammo?
Just rob the world or the cassinos and buy AP ammo from vendors. Confused

And WMX is a PoS, unbalancing the game and weapons heavelly.

EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements offers some nice visual modifications to energy weapons, explosions, bullet holes, gib splattering and more. Currently in progress.

IWS-Increased Wasteland Spawns makes the Mojave come alive. Note that this mod will make some early areas of the game (notably Primm and the road to Novac) much more difficult.

FNV Respawn Timer allows you to tweak the respawn rates of foes throughout the Mojave. This one works masterfully with IWS.

Active Wasteland adds a bunch of minor additions to the game, such as bedrolls, grinding wheels for melee weapons and the ability to use ovens like campfires.

Bartertown, appropriately named, makes the Barter skill actually worthwhile and has difficulty options.

OWB Stealth Suit Mk II appears to be a work in progress right now, but shows some promise. It allows you to enhance the suit in a few specialized ways to cater to your own tastes.

Sink Vendor Fix allows the CIU's inventory to respawn like normal vendors.

Radii Headgear Show Hair_Old World Blues removes baldness caused by radii headgear.

Rad Scorpion replacer is great if the things creep you out or annoy you. Note that giants are replaced by super mutant masters, so things may get a tad chaotic in certain areas.

OWB - Brain Bot ED-E transforms ED-E into a think tank. Doesn't make a lick of sense, but it's kind of amusing.

Turnbased New Vegas was released a few days ago. Still very glitchy, but it works, so you can get a feel of how TB will work in FONV.

Classic Fallout Descriptions. It's more like in an Alpha stage than a Beta, but nevertheless, it shows potential. Had a chat with the creator and it seems he really wants to make NV closer to the first two games - and given that the writing is actually pretty good, it looks like it's a plausible, albeit difficult and daunting, task Applause

So many mods to choose from. What I looked for 6 months ago is not what I look for now. At first I wanted lots of extra places to search so I loaded a bunch of player home mods. I found I would visit once, loot the place and never go back. Places to loot don't contribute much, if anything, to the game and those got dumped.

Here is my list of a few of the more practical mods I use and consider "essential".
Click here to see the hidden message (It might contain spoilers)

Now here's a list that may not be essential, but I consider them highly desirable.
Click here to see the hidden message (It might contain spoilers)

These lists are by no means exhaustive. For the curious, as others have done, here is a full list of mod files I'm currently using.

Happy modding!

EDIT - A couple of new additions to the highly desirable list:
Afterschool Special - The Goodsprings Schoolhouse is first encountered in it's vanilla state, exactly as presented in the original game. The difference is that there is a repair shop across the road. The two people there are voiced and well done. They help you gradually rebuild the schoolhouse in a series of quests, instead of just shoving a fully functional "Player Home" into the game. NOTE: There is a small conflict with Goodsprings Filler. The repair shop covers a locked basement entrance requiring a key. Getting the key requires the Courier to choose being a jerk. It's not necessary to complete the involved quest anyway.

Desert Eagle - Adds the Desert Eagle, Mark XIX, to the game in .357, .44 magnum, and .50 AE (requires the CaliberX mod). One caliber can be rechambered to another, if desired. The models are well done and the weapons are quite effective. Can be found on enemies or purchased from merchants. Also adds some unique pistols called "Desert Dragoons".

Anyone using Arwen's mod?

This mod transforms Fallout: New Vegas in what it should really be from the start, a RPG not a FPS.
Is incompatible with A LOT of mods and all DLCs, but some people are taking care of this.
Is compatible with Project Nevada except the Rebalance mod.

It removes all the "one click speels" from the game. Stimpaks don't restore health automatically, doctor bag's don't heal crippled limbs (you need to find a doctor or use a medical brace and then after the limb regenerates you can use a doctor's bag for speed the process if you have 25 skill in medicine), everything has weigh, all weapons and edibles were tweaked, all game effects have a good and a bad side effect.

You won't be able to have thousands of caps sometimes not even at level 20, you can't carry a hospital and a colombian cartel with you full of drugs and stims, you can't carry your house with you because the player is restricted by his/her strength (sex genre counts). Merchants finally became usefull for repairing weapons.
Your attributes will really count this time, even charisma, and you don't start the game with 40 points, only 35. You progress much slower between levels and don't have thousands of skill points available.
Also, you won't be able to have a jack of all trades build, you need to specialize in a combat skill.
Battles are fast and brutal, you have one chance to kill your enemy and if you screw up, the wounds you recieve will kill you. Also your wounds will prevent you for returning enemy fire if they are too severe and if one arm is crippled you can't use two hands weapons, only pistols/knifes (if both arms were crippled you better run, you can't return fire at all).

Weapons, caps and armors CAN BE STOLEN from you if you die, in the next save you will woke up naked, without your weapons ammo, stims and 90% of your caps will be stolen (optional module, of course).

You actually need to learn how to play FNV again. Very Happy
