I played it before I even knew what it was. I was around 10 or so when my uncle showed me Wasteland. This is the same uncle who introduced me to Fallout too. I never beat it, but I plan on it. _________________

Certainly got pretty far into the game, but I'm going into some sort of guerrilla warfare in Vegas. Those robots can never leave me alone. It does get on my nerve.
Postponed the game for a bit, but I probably will finish it somewhere before October 2013. |

I played it but i never finished it. My computer was way too fast so it was un fun to play after a short while. In retrospect I probably could run it with dos box. _________________ "You cant spell manslaughter without laughter" -Jeff |

| Right now, I only played a few minutes to check it out. I'll wait until I have more spare time so I can read the manual and play it correctly. |

I have played it, several playthroughs, but never went 100%. 95% is as far as I got, and I realized I screwed my character stats somewhere along the way, and now I'm too lazy to begin again. I could probably finish it faster right now, but I'm playing some other stuff.
That's one playthrough though, few others went down the drain because of technical difficulties and such. I had some problems with DOS initially, and my most promising playthrough died because of it.
Wasteland will wait for several more months. _________________

Oh wow, the poll results are basically fifty-fifty. That's completely unacceptable.
All of you who haven't played Wasteland need to stop being lame and shameful, and instead play the game immediately. Kids these days... _________________

| I never played Wasteland and never plan on doing so... I prefer a compromise between the clunky, overbearing computer games of old and the streamlined, shallow, piles of shit that are made today. A complex game that is not buried in redundant or excessive detail. |

I've never even heard of the game before joining NMA, so I have no idea even what it is. I wouldn't mind getting more info on it though. Is it a PC game? _________________ Zaius: You the new guy in town?

I started like 2 days ago. And it definitely takes some getting used to. And I used to think that Fallout 2 was graphically dated, but it does seem really interesting and after I get used to it I think it just might become one of my favorites. Regardless I know I'll love Wasteland 2! _________________ "What do i WANT? I don't really know. lol of course Fallout 2 isn't graphically dated in terms of gaming in general, if you wanna see graphically dated go play Atari, Commodore or NES
Nice sig btw. Love that Chosen One line. _________________

C-64, 'Write Of Passage"
First time, time consuming game trio, Bards Tale 3, Mars Saga, and Wasteland.
Commodore 64, had to make play copies on single sided 5.25 floppies,
another one of Life's 'Writes Of Passage'.
Crank and grind, crank and grind, write, write, write, crank and grind, crank and grind … ,
the ritual of disk swapping.
'80's Inter--net? 300k dial up still a 'gleam in the eye', would buy and scan for hints in game mag's.
After first WL play to satiation, post card arrived to the game registered, offering WL hint book.
Walkthroughs of the era were written like fan fiction.
About time PC XT's were bargains and / or door stops, not yet boat anchors,
bundled WL booklet with PC WL copy and gifted it to brother with blazing Intel 386.
