Hey, NMA.
I believe I have had a revelation, a (sort of) idea for a fallout miniseries that I believe could actually work. Here's how the first 7-10 minutes would go!
Fade from black, camera slowly moving through the darkened halls of Vault 13, Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the machine" in the background.
After about 30 seconds, images appear portraying the timeline found here:
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline
Most, if not all events from 1945-2077 shown, giving the viewer a background of the series.
Somewhere around the 8 minute mark, after the timeline montage has finished, reveal the large Vault 13 door... slowly opening.

Not a bad idea, but nothing groundbreaking. Pink Floyd doesn't seem like suitable music either. It could work though maybe.

Yes, maybe I should've phrased that better, It wouldn't be images, but maybe short clips (2-3 secs long). |

Yes, but without a strong narration over it (voice-over) or something else, it will just have a strong "randomness" feeling. But even if it has that strong narration, not sure you can keep the viewer interested during a eight-minutes slideshow of 2-3 secs clips. I'd take much longer clips and/or reduce these 8 minutes. But that's only my opinion
