Huh? That wasn't too hard. Remember, he won't retaliate. You walk behind him, wait a bit, then back stab or fireball him. Of course, he will "catch" you, but he won't really do anything except to warn you verbally and turn around again. You just keep doing it until he dies. And presto, a full set of imperial armor with whatever other loot you can swipe from the house. IIRC, you need to be "arrested" one more time in the house by the 2 guards if you get caught doing something before you leave the compound. I remember screwing up one time by sleeping in the courtyard (it might have been something else, been a few years) and walk out of the door by mistake and was promptly slapped with a criminal record.
If you are feeling really vicious, you can also take out the guards inside the building as well, but iirc, they don't have much loot. You need to make sure you get all the captain's conversation topics first before killing him, but afaik, they aren't related to any major or any guild quests at all.
Worst comes to worst, just respawn the guy if it bothers you, but that's cheating a bit. _________________ Starseeker, signing off.

And smuggling around actions which normally cause repercussions due to some oversight ain't cheating? _________________

lol, that depends on your point of view. I can use the console to play god and that would probably be definitely considered cheating. But I don't consider things I can already do within the framework of the game cheating. Are clothing mods and housing mods cheating? Since I didn't "pay" for them and they didn't exist in the first place. If that's the case, aren't all mods "cheating"?
Give me a break. _________________ Starseeker, signing off.

Nope, because they do not alter a character's stats. Only mod, which will place a full set of armor right in the opening map can be considered as a cheating. _________________

Well, I gave up on Morrowind.
It was fun for a while but eventually, just as when I played Oblivion, I got bored.
The characters have no personality and the story just didn't grab me. It was fun for a while, but then I just gave up.
Oh, and according to a friend of mine, the reason I stopped playing Morrowind back when I bought it wasn't due to computer problems. It was because I got bored with the game and lent it to him.
So I guess I should have seen this coming. |
