EDIT: okay, The offical dark days will be deleted, and this is the OOC for Darkness Falls. I hope the new intro to darkness falls was better than Dark days, so I hope that goes well. If you're tied in with blood ties then I understand as I know how amazing that is and you've probably got engrossed with that. Nevertheless, if you have the time, please have a go at my RP, I'm new to it but I still know how to make good stories and the sort. This OOC is for posting characters, advice and any problems. Anything you think could improve the story would help as well. Any character's allowed and if you want to make a new one for this then that's okay as well. You don't need permission until 10 characters have been posted, that's the minimum amount so far but post advice on how many should be allowed. If there is anything I have missed out, post comments here or PM me for any good suggestions on story, concept, characters or anything. Thanks and hope people start joining. Smile

So is this for Dark Days or Darkness Falls? Also I'm interested in joining when I'm not busy with blood ties.

I ask because Darkness Falls seemed so much more planned out and detailed, I like it.

Thanks, and yeh, I'll do this for Darkness Falls and I'm deleting the Dark Days one. I'm still a bit new to rp itself but I'm publishing books that I've created soon, so I'm not bad at literature.

Here is my character info about Krldraav (anyone reading this, might inspire), I'm only putting in necessary details, this overrules the info in the character thread:

Name: Krldraav
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Hairstyle/colour: Blast back/blonde
Race: Caucasian
Height: 5'6
Build: slim
Personality: quiet, serious and led a painful life, his adopted father's traits have given Krldraav a boost in humour. Wants the job done, and innocent casualties (including animals) should be avoided. He hates innocents dying.
Attire: Wears a deathclaw skull on his head, as well as a black scarf. His armour seems to be tribal, as bones and skulls protect him and is all charred.
Weapons: a repeater crossbow, a bone made into a dagger, and a power fist that was salvaged.
Attributes: Krldraav has a high agility and strength, endurance is okay but he's not the lucky guy and when he went New Vegas once, he only won one bout. Doesn't talk much as he believes actions speak louder than words, so low charisma. Perception is high as well, as he was taught to be, using eyes, ears and a good sense of smell. Intelligent and clever, as well as a smart tactician, he just doesn't understand computers and the sort. Anything involving science, he's a no-brainer for that.
Followers: his wolf companion called Fang, who's been with him since adopted by Roger.

Story: Was born in the East Coast, and risen by deathclaws which had all been domesticated by the Enclave (when they were more frequent) and escaped to a cave. He was taught all his skills and perceptiveness by them. Later, NCR attacked and killed them all except Krldraav who escaped and was found by Roger Anderson, who adopted and taught him how to be civilised. Krldraav later came to the murder scen gathering the bones of his fallen family and forging into armour to serve as a relic and memoir. The NCR attack was led by a corrupt official who was sent from California to investigate the BoS. Krldraav migrated to the Mojave with Roger and lived for a while, until he became a freelancer and worked for the caps to buy enough medicine so that his adopted father would revive back from sickness. Now he's stuck in a room, captured by Legionaries..

As I said, only a brief amount is explained. I know the East Coast wasn't canon (Fallout tactics) but then when have any of these RP's mattered to the Fallout teams whether they're canon or not, as long as people are enjoying themselves.

This is my character and I would like to join your RP.

Fallout Roleplaying Character
Name: James Taylor
Nick Name: "The One Man Caravan"
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Classification: Human
Occupation: One Man Caravan and Gun for Hire
Eyes: Blue
Hair:Dark Brown
Height: 6'2"
Weight: unspecified
Race: Caucasian
Affiliations: unspecified vault and a small trading town outside the vault, caravans, Followers of the Apocalypse, (secret debt to the Enclave)
Bio: I was born in a vault in the West, in the NCR. At the age of 10 I left the vault with my mother and father along with a group of 20 more people that had decided to set off and try to settle the wastes in an attempt to reduce the overcrowded population of the vault. This group set out with the intention of setting up a trading town in an attempt to gain vital supplies that the vault needed to keep running. I grew up learning the finer points of the mercantile skills and how to shoot. It was up to every resident of our small town to protect it in time of attack from the raiders, supermutants, and other groups that sought our destruction. I've been carrying my trusty 10mm pistol since the day I left the vault and its never let me down. When I became a man I decided to set out to explore the wastes and try to open up new trading routes to back home. I won my trusty brahmin Lucy in a game of cards and she's been traveling with me ever since, she's the biggest reason I'm known as the one man caravan. With her I've traveled all over the wastes. I bought my sniper rifle from the Gun Runners, for a pretty penny I might add. I worked with the Followers of the Apocalypse for a time where I learned some about medicine and a lot about prewar technology (including computers and several types of robots) and how to adapt it for use. The Followers came to trust me even though I was not a proper member and eventually hired my services to ferry supplies to their heavily under supplied New Vegas branch, and that's how I came to the Mojave wasteland.
Weapons: .308 sniper rifle, a weathered 10mm pistol (heavily modded with a scope, increased magazine, silencer and other various improvements)
Followers: Lucy (Brahmin) equipped with leather armor and many bags
Clothing: leather armor, reinforced
Items: 8 stimpaks, 2 doctors bags, 800 caps, assorted shell casings and gun powder & flash powder, assorted wares (guns, armor, food, assorted), Pipboy 3000A
Likes: nuka-cola, sunset sarsaparilla, whiskey, computers and electronics

Do we still have our items and weapons when we wake up? It doesn't make much sense for the legion to leave us with our weapons or armor, unless they think it will make it a more fun fight for them. Like let us run and then hunt us down or something. Just wanted to know how to approach this. Don't worry about inexperience, everything takes time. I'm new to this to as well.

I think I want to join too. Blood Ties moves at it's own pace, but I want something to do in between the gaps.

I'm assuming this is set after the events in the game?

Yeh it's set after the events. The bad dude isn't the courier but the son, so it's set quiet a while after. I hope that's okay with you lot. And our weapons are taken, Lucy would have been captured and so would my wolf. And joining would be good, I'm on here pretty much all day, I access it through my phone easily so I can go on it outside. The pace would be quite fast. Well, thanks for joinin DarknessScythe, hope you enjoy the Rp.

Ok, cool. I have an idea how we can handle the history shared between any of the Blood Ties players who might join. Since they don't know how it is going to end (obviously), if we play under the guise that they all agreed to not speak about their adventure (which I planned to do anyway, given what happens), so we should be able to avoid any "So remember the time when we...?" popping up...At least until that story has ended. That way the only thing that is spoiled is that Yasmin didn't end up screwing them all over.

That work?

Yeh, that'll do good, and probs the only new guy as well is Krldraav so he wouldn't know a thing about any other characters. They're probably older than him as well, and everyone would also know that everyone's alive more or less. But we know now that no-ones managed to save the Mojave, so there's bigger baddies to frie now, and everyone's got new goals to get, more harder ones now. And players won't be focusing on the far past yet, but on the future now. Or something like that, but everyone's happy to be alive and glad Yasmin ain't failed them. So the goal would now be to get out the blasted room, and find out what lies ahead (which I ain't thought of yet), and with your ideas in it, then the players will be inspired and won't just follow my guidance but yours as well as they know your leadership well.

Haha, but Yas won't be the leader in this (really, I don't know where the story is going, so leading is totally not an option, besides, it's your baby). But it'll be fun seeing an older Yas try to take orders. Though can we ignore the age thing a bit? I don't think any of us from Blood Ties wants our characters to be in their 40's/50's. Is it ok if we just say 'older'?

Hah true, I'm not used to leading but I' try my best. And yeah, the age thing would seem tedious, and it's only about 5 years after New Vegas, with the fact that the courier's son would've been born during the events of New Vegas (though having children can't be done) so everyone gets treated as an equal. Obviously, Caesar isn't the leader so by his request, Legate Lanius is in charge though that'd make for a pretty scary commander. The NCR hasn't been as frequent before and most have probably moved back to California but a large fraction remains. Then the rest of the story will walk on it's own, while trying to keep a based story within. Anything else you think needs working on or anything?

Nothing that I see right now. And I think that this smaller passage of time will be better Smile It won't change the story, just some of us won't be all old Smile

Yep, it's probably good that it won't change the story, as then a lot of people will still be able to get the enjoyment of actual New Vegas, no old settings will change much and only new ones will appear. It's just New Vegas, but now taken over by an evil dictator Smile so whenever you're ready, just post your character (if you want) and wake up in a room of other people with only two awake. Thanks Raven, you been a great help. Smile

That's ok, it's part of the job Smile Though I would have helped anyway. You were very understanding before and I want there to be more than 2 RPs on here. I'll probably join up tomorrow. Little bit too busy for it tonight.

Ok then, that's fine. I'm a patient guy, and I just got to wait for Scythe to get on. I'm also doing that Mojave hellhole as well, that's quite good if you've got time to skim it. Smile
