Persona 4's gameplay holds up pretty well even after all these years. Too bad Vita emulation is not a thing yet or I'd be trying out Golden.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory really holds up even after all these years. Shame Ubisoft no longer supports their multiplayer servers.

The Bank is one of my favourite levels. Awesome game.

I was never able to play the multiplayer for CT, only for Double Agent.

Oh... the Bank... I never get tired of that level (even when I use the same tricks).

I've been using Evolve to host private LAN servers for CT's co-op and aside from one disconnect, it's been stable. Me and my friend are having a blast going through it all.

There's so much to cook in FFXV and there's only one guy in the party who can do it.

RE4 is the most replayable one for me. The camera angles don't confuse me as much.

The only flaw I'd say 4 possesses is that it's not as scary due to the action focus but at least, the game does not take itself seriously.

        5 and 6 though... Ugh...

I, for one, cannot stand terrible controls that join forces with horrible camera angles (unless the game happens to be a classic Silent Hill game with story to motivate me). Though I admit that the original RE games have their merits and at least tried to be horror games with new ideas.

The same cannot be said for RE5 and 6.

Even if the nostalgic elements are altered just to be 'complex', 'mature' or even, 'progressive', nostalgia pandering can be done
    11. CerberusGate
      CerberusGate
Nostalgia pandering's easy to profit from. Many Marvel films bank off the nostalgia from watching those old Marvel cartoons. PR's the same.

I wake to pics of the new PR Megazord. Fan reaction is the typical "too hyped" to recognize the problems. I can't wait for the film to flop.

@Walpknut What game is that? I'm trying to think of games with that kind of writing but nothing's coming up or it's been repressed.

Bioshlock Infinite. The level of writting of a bad 90's comic, but convinced it's art.

Plus the original is a beloved classic so substantially changing the actual story is 'not' a mistake... Let the rumour remain a rumour...
    16. CerberusGate
      CerberusGate
...I guess live action remake means change the story so that it would be 'progressive' & 'intriguingly different'. That's not gonna backfire

I'm finishing up the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series at the moment. Very atmospheric & terrifying but immersive as a result. CoP is really good so far.

        Just saw this. My bad...
I will say that it's better than 3 when it comes to immersion: It's not an RPG; it's an FPS that has Metro's atmosphere and difficulty (on the higher difficulty levels like Master). The game has some realistic mechanics that may add difficulty too (like bullet drop after some distance). Very immersive.

A lot of anime/manga are being turned into live action shows these days. I'm not surprised at this point.

Probably not gonna use this account as much but after wandering through discussions filled with Bethesdrones defending poor quality games, this seems like the right place to be.

Also, I may reply if I have free time.
