For those that hope console users will also get outraged, this is a Steam review posted today:
If this guy is real, then even some PC players are like this...

Of course I could bet my balls that this is not a real player account and a fake Bethesda (or Bethesda shill) account. Why do I say this? The picture on the profile is a generic picture, the name is a generic "first name"+"middle name"+"last name" all in one word and it only own 7 games, 5 of them are from Bethesda, all reviews (for the other games) were also posted today  suspicious I say.

Wow, I got to admit I didn't think Bethesda would follow so closely to EA in this case with blank accounts. This is another glaring issue with the game industry where the company will create and operate or pay others to "approve" of their products.

If you are going to go that route, at least put the time in to mask the type of account it is. Making it so obvious is rather dumb.

Given that you need to own a game to review it, Bethesda still gets some benefit from that arrangement from you purchasing it multiple times.

Oh look, bugthesda released Q&A and YongYea covered it. Basically, they are once again trying: Tell me lies, Sweet little Lies... It is just a propaganda, straight and simple.

At this point it might be delusion, Bethesda is a Cult and Todd is the leader.

I mean...This is the universe where gamers as consumers bought Watchdogs 2 despite 1 literally doing false advertising, breaking laws in multiple countries without getting a single lawsuit.

Or it could be the self imposed blind ignorance some fans embrace by assuming the company is doing this is in their best interest. People such as that, are not the leaders of tomorrow...

Mhmm, yeah but I am just meaning, if Todd actually beliefs the stuff he's saying, are they still lies? Or just delusion.
Like when a priest tells you how the invisible man in the sky is waching you masturbating. He's not exactly lying, but you can't claim that it's the truth.
Bethesda is a cult with lots of zealots bhind them ...
*Of course I am not serious here.

Oh isn't that the fucking truth, eh?

They always have to fucking tack on some 'buy this plx' text somewhere.

The sad truth is that they put it there because SOME people will click it...I fucking despise ads.

This is a reductive form of consumerism where the business does it's best to flood the consumer with information and then redirects their attention to a "product" that they believe the consumer may want.

It's predatory, insulting, and lets be honest completely annoying.

The best marketing that can be wielded is "word of mouth", the traffic of people being genuinely happy about a product will literally be all you need. For example Minecraft, while initially obscure became a viral hit within the first year and it wasn't even out of alpha when it began to gain traction. (Also did not screw their modding community.)

Then you have businesses that almost completely rely on tactics like a "hype train" to bolster their market presence to ensure their product meets their profit margins. While from a business perspective it's not a bad idea if you know the product will not be able to stand on it's own merit. It is a woefully poor idea for anything art related because these companies rely on new titles and franchises to support themselves.

For example there have been plenty of movies in the past that opted for the "hype train" marketing approach and I can't think of any of them that were worth said hype. If the producer of the product is pushing hard for you, the consumer to really enjoy the product, then I would strongly suggest a modicum of caution when investing in their product.
