I think this is looking back at the place we crawled in through. The "ladder" in the foreground is actually aluminum rack for wires and pipes, which would hang from the ceiling. Previous explorers (note the graffiti) had placed these in several spots. Note the water in the bottom of the picture. The entire complex had groundwater at about this level, which at any point was from 1 to 12 feet below the main level of the complex.
