Okay good to know that, getting the music files into acm should be no problem, thanks everyone for the help.

Iv'e tried all the suggestions and nothing has worked, but one thing did occur to me, my fallout 2 music files are mp3 ( not sure why), I checked fallout 1 and the music is in acm files. I'm not sure if it has any bearing on the problem though.

I checked the cfg files and the two lines were blank, I tried replacing them with the lines Novarain suggested, there seemed to be no change.Also installfolder/soud/music has all the music tracks already. Thanks for all the suggestions by the way.
