Looked up the definition of ownership; "the relation of an owner to the thing possessed; possession with the right to transfer possession to others." Literally what piracy is.

True, but it was free. If they revoke it I lose nothing because then I could just go pirate it.

I like piracy as much as the next guy but I would rather have a free GOG copy, it's just more convenient.
