I am willing to give it a try :), though I don't know how the integrity of the game is at the moment--bugs and that sort of stuff.

I am a bit skeptical towards slow paced games, but in this case I am willing to consider.

Ye Squadcar it was rather buggy at launch , mostly visual stuff and not gamebreaking but now most of those are fixed and it works fairly smoothly. You have to build up skill , learn to read and all that yeah, and you are fairly weak at the beginning, but it works naturally and it doesn't take too long before you can hold your own in a fight, the combat is pretty fun too.

The game literally just came out, should wait until some of the release hype goes down.

Here's a prediction. Next Fallout will be based in Texas. There will be a faction of raiders called the "Dallas Cowboys", football themed raiders who make corny references to football in combat "Dead Ball!" , and the leader will be the "Quarterback", the lore will be that they were inspired by football magazines.

I only have one friend who plays games, so yes. I'm starting to figure him out. He is all about "the experience", so - fast, flashy, colors, sounds etc. Story, dialog, quests are "boring chores"

There's nothing neccessarily wrong with that, it's just when they start hijacking our beloved games.

In my experience, it is prone to wonking itself up if you attempt to do certain quests in your own order. The worst culprit is whenever events trigger *nearby* and you do not *immediately* drop everything in your hands to rush over to get involved.

The Automatron DLC becomes unplayable, for example, if you do not react immediately, whenever you venture in the robot-attack vicinity (you'll hear distant gunfire, meaning the script has triggered. This happens regardless of you listening to the radio, prior.)
