At least Franken won his notoriety as a politically oriented entertainer, unlike some other entertainer/politicians: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ronald Reagan, Sonny Bono, etc.
I would prefer any democrat to any republican in the senate right now. Not that I am a democrat -- I just loath the reps.
It doesn't really matter if the civilians of the US have assault rifles or not, because no one has the kind of technology or organized military that the government already has.
For example, a heat ray. This heat ray can be focused on a large crowd of people and cause everyone in the crowd to...
You don't need a "high tech computer" to know that china would kick taiwan's ass. They have about a billion people and the near-limitless resources such a society provides.
I say leave Taiwan to China and handle China diplomatically later at a more feasible time. I doubt that even the US...
I would follow the posted signs in the hallways to the market place. If it doesn't take you to an exit, you will at least find one in the market.
Otherwise, just jump off the side of the ship and into the water.
I don't see much point in debating which FO game was most realistic. (But I guess I will anyway!)
I personally don't think that the cities in FO2 were that unbelievable considering that there was so much technology laying around. Most towns had some kind of electricity generated. Plus FO2...
Wow! An exotic animal drink that not only has untold health benefits, but also will increase my virility? No WAY!
I'll drink this after I'm done snorting a line of ground White Rhino horn.
lol.
... I found that out later. That freaking blows.
On a somewhat similarly sucky note, practically nothing in FO3 is destructible. I would think for such a game, complete destructability of the environment would be a must.
Even in Goldeneye the chairs at least exploded when you shot them.
I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Fallouts 1 and 2 didn't have any television or internet advertising. For months I saw the game advertised every time I watched the Colbert Report online.
Plus, I think that it's a rare occurrence when anything artful in any medium convenes with...
Great observation. You'd think that they'd be using slaves to farm crops or something like in FO2, but in FO3 people seem to eat just centuries old Salisbury steak and squirrel bits. Although I have never seen even one actual squirrel in the game.
The more I think about the inconsistencies...
I suppose if we're posting the unique stuff, if you don't rat out the android to his scientist seeker, you get his unique plasma rifle in Rivet City. the best weapon I've found so far in the game.
Man, some people in here think a whole lot about killing and ways to kill.
Isn't anyone else bothered by this conversation?
Maybe years of video games have desensitized you to violence. Let me ask this: if you indeed WERE desensitized to violence, would that fact bother you? If not, why not?
