You guys are preeeeeetty serious about this.
Great game so far. It's just difficult enough to keep me interested without it being frustrating. It feels a little weird having a party of 7 people... followers just keep joining me. Ag Center took me freakin forever to finish. Looking forward to...
I get more and more excited about this game with each news article. And I honestly don't mind if Fargo goes "we need another year". I know it'll be worth the wait.
Admittedly, I had never actually purchased Fallout Tactics, though I've played through it a couple of times. Can't really complain about an under $5 price tag. Picked it up last night. As much as I love GOG, I prefer having all my games in one centralized location (Steam).
I didn't give them the full price of a triple A title in "hope-this-turns-out-great" money for Wasteland 1 graphics.
Also, well played DartGarry.
Perhaps you've never seen Cars or Toy Story?
Cartoony as far as CGI, 'new-age' cartoons. You can't deny that this screenshot has a similar look to Cars.
Yeah I like that Troika demo palette. I mean I was out in Arizona / Utah a couple of weeks ago; I'm not expecting hyper realism, but just a 5-10% decrease in saturation would look better in my opinion, even if they keep with the overall cartoony look.
While I do like the overall art direction on the 3D assets and such, it's MUCH too bright and cartoony for me. I'd love it if they toned down the saturation and went with something closer to Fallout Tactics if anything. I'm not really digging the Disney / Pixar look. It won't ruin the experience...
Yeah. It's not like I'm on their forums bitching about it; I guess I just expected more reports considering this was a fan funded project. But I can totally understand Fargo's opinion on the matter. Suppose my excitement for seeing something tangible makes art shots slightly disappointing.
Maybe I'm expecting too much too soon, but I really wish they'd show / provide something more substantial than this.
A monthly or bi-monthly progress report would be amazing.
Brian kept alluding to getting a snippet of music but that never materialized.
Vision doc?
Meh.
Shame, the Stalker series was one of my favorites in the last decade. Great games... wish they would have gotten more love, sales wise.
CoP is still one of the scariest, most atmospheric games I've ever played.
yeah i didn't mind these graphics so much when fallout 3 first came out... but these screens just look piss poor. no shadows? i'd rather look at f1/f2 than this crap.
I've run into a LOT of CTDs... but I've only noticed two bugs so far:
The combat speed cannot be altered what-so-ever.
And the Vault 15 vault door is mysteriously blocking my path into V15... I've patched everything and installed everything correctly, but this goddamn door is still there...
