No Mutants Allowed

I keep coming across these women that are actually m2f that I find out later. It always feels misleading, especially if it's something dedicated to women's issues that affects women as opposed to trans people. It's like having lacking of lived experience isn't something you can bring up in these situations even though it's such a promonent point of leftist discourse otherwise. (2/3)

It doesn't even have to be a serious discussion. Just random topics related to females/cis women specifically just feels so odd and kinda misleading when you realize the person trying to talk to you about these things has only become a woman recently but talks as if they have always lived as one. Maybe I am just old now and this is the sign? (3/3)

You have every right to feel weird. It's not their space. There are so many groups dedicated to every little thing under the sun. Genetically and socially, men and women are different to begin with, and then to throw in trans or queer into the mix is an entirely different experience.

But there's this disturbing trend going on lately that women's groups are for men as well and if a group is exclusively for those born female and lived the female experience their entire life, then they're labeled a TERF or bigot if the women feel uncomfortable when a trans person comes in. Trans people need their space too, but not at the expense and security of another group.

Sorry I just ranted here, but I've seen too many times that women's groups are criticized and even attacked because they are for women.
