Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

You'd have to recreate the fonts at a larger size and pretty much have to also recreate each window/interface. It would be a lot of work but I might have a crack at it one of these days. You could also use sfall's DX9 mode for a greater variety of res options. Sfall settings: Set DX9 mode...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Re: Epa-grid I'm currently going through the map edge data and tweaking it for higher resolutions(up to 1920x1200). Also fixing any problems if I find any. I'm about half way though and so far apart from a small problem with a desert map all maps tested have been playable. I've just had a...

Fallout 2 restoration project - modding problems

For 2.0 if the resolution is 640x480 the hi-res map edges are disabled and the original borders and blockers re-enabled. I did this so you wouldn't have to uninstall the hi-res patch to setup a map to work without the hi-res patch. I think the tile centre error is due to the default PC start...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

I wasn't aware of that, I'll look into it. That shouldn't happen, does it happen every time? What are the circumstances? I've never won an award for my spelling a grammar and I probably never will :) . I'll fix it next time I update the Hi-Res patch.

    Wide Screen?

If you have the Hi-res patch set to your monitors native resolution there should be no stretching. Unless your using one of sfalls Directx 9 modes and have the scaling resolution set to something other than your native resolution. Settings for both the hi-res patch and sfall can be accessed...

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

Thanks Nevill I can see the problem. For Pixote: In the "Desert2.ini" looks like your missing a digit in the west edge value for both 800x600 and 1024x768. You can probably get rid of both as they should probably work fine with the default data. I'll leave it in your capable hands.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

It really shouldn't matter much which resolution you use. Extra settings for particular resolutions are just minor tweaks. If you setup the default edges in 800x600 they should still be playable at 640x480. There may be some problems with very large resolution above 1920x1200.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

Your links a dead end Nevill. You should also mention which map your having trouble with and the name of the mod your using if any.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

Have you tried moving the mouse around a bit? The Dx modes have a little quirk when fading to static screens, if you don't move the mouse the screen stays blank. It's usually not that noticeable as most people tend to move the mouse inadvertently anyway.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

Sfall's DX9 modes are good if you want to run fallout2 in a window or you want to scale up from a lower res then your monitors native res(LCD). Some monitors can also be a bit finicky even when the hi-res patch is set to it's native res, I believe using the dx modes can help alleviate this...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Just letting you all know that the Appearance Mod's PC SFX issue should be sorted in the next sfall release.

Hi-Res Patches for Fallout1&2 & the BIS Mapper

Sounds like your using an old version of sfall, you should download the latest version from here. If you're using a version of sfall that came with a mod or patch make sure you transfer over any changed settings in the ddraw.ini.

    PC Appearance Mod

I've updated the readme and example msg files linked in the first post. I changed things a bit to reduce the need to duplicate race related files in each style folder.

    PC Appearance Mod

Thought I'd mention that I've got the vault boy images working. I'd post a screenshot but it looks pretty much like what Pixote posted above.

    PC Appearance Mod

:) Thanks, but I was just messing about. Anyone using the AppMod in their mod should replace them with something better. Go for it. Presently adding an image is not supported but that can be arranged.

    PC Appearance Mod

Hi everyone, I've been working on integrating the Appearance mod into the Character Screen of late. These changes are now available to use as part of sfall version 2.5+. Here are some screenshots: (Vault Boy/Gal images by Pixote) Character Creation Screen Ingame Character Screen...
