Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

I think Per put it best: "[It's] a well-known fact that in computer RPGs which let you play an "evil" or grouchy character, you'll ultimately be punished for doing so because if you tell everyone you meet how ugly they are, they won't give you quests or bonuses. Such is life." To whit...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project Gameplay Thread

This. Plus, reasonably high strength character that's not laden with 50 pounds of power armor and that doesn't have a propensity for running off and getting themselves killed? Sweet.

Basically, you just go to the place that's being fixed, for the first time. Like, let's say there's a fix for NCR. If you've already been to NCR in your savegame, you're screwed. But if you go to NCR for the first time in that game, the fix takes effect.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Seconded. The only times I've gotten any enclave encounters outside of hoorigan (or prodding the one guy in gecko) have been within about a 3-4 radius semicircle around navarro.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

RP 2.0 includes killap's patch, the high resolution patch, and everything all in one. In fact, trying to install them on top of it leads to bad results because they are already included.

    Modding NPC's - usable weapons

Sulik doesn't have a pistol animation, as far as I know. The .223 pistol uses the SMG animation though, if that's what you're thinking of.

Dunno about the first, but my guess would be that it's like the morton brothers encounters, which you can delay all you like if you can avoid them with high outdoorsman level. The second, unless RP 2.0 has changed it, you will get a vanilla Marcus if you recruit him at level 20. That's how...

@martynas.t: In 1.2, you had to wait, I think a couple days time, and he'd rejoin you. Might have changed, but eh.

Looking for mods to install with RP 2.0

Definitely with you on the lootable armor mod. Would also like to see the one miria mod updated, but that's me. Mmm, useful NPCs... Suppose we'll both have to wait a week or two, as .Pixote. suggests. Just as well in my case, bloody classes.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Doh! Well okay, is there a way to use the automatic install in a way compatible with Lexx's method of multiple mod installation?

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

There seems to be an issue, at least with the manual install. Can't seem to tell when Sulik is wearing a leather jacket. It's like the NPC appearance mod didn't quite make it or something. Been proceeding slowly due to classes so I can't be sure it's just Sulik or not, but there it is.

Quoting myself here so that those in the know don't skip me over. :D

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

This, also I can't seem to get this working with a manual install and the multiple mod guide on the fallout mods wiki. Since this is meant for a fresh install of Fallout 2, may I presume there's no way around this? @Manu: No screenshot, but it's right behind the guy blocking your path back...

There was a crash involving missing a shot and then suddenly getting a black screen crash. Was there anything like that fixed?

Did you talk with the brain and ever enter the 'we had a deal' line? If you did and selected the option about wanting to help the villagers, you can no longer get the quest. It's a bug. EDIT: McRae, I am not sure, but I think he did that. I thought anyway that was the 'everything before'...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.2 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

You know, I used to hate the temple of trials. Last playthrough, I find that I love it. It feels like the start of a brand new clean slate, so to speak. Particularly after not playing for a while. :D Okay, more critters would be nice. Always looking for more XP.
