My idea wasn't a comparison between tone in FNV and in F4. It was discussing tone in a future Fallout game. But I support also discussing the comparison like you mentioned.

I hate to break the news, but Obsidian's Facebook page says it will not be a World of Darkness game, which means it is not a Vampire The Masquerade game. If this is medieval-fantasy, as good as it will be, as I've said, I'm not going to be interested in it. I'm not a fan of that genre.

I really hope it's not a medieval-fantasy game, because there are plenty of those and PoE was one. I have very limited interest in that genre. I like Tolkien and the classics still because they set the precendent.

Being sincere, most of the things you listed, including points, 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 are what almost all of us at NMA and other RPG discussion forums such as RPG Codex hate about F4. We have our reasons for hating them, and you can see them for yourself by browsing the threads in the Fallout forums...

I bet it's going to be in and around New York. Then in F6, if Bethesda still owns Fallout by then, the location will be some lesser known location in our world, but that supposedly became famous in the Fallout universe, like Ohio.

Yeah, you should. Even the PC's background has been totally changed from what it was in the initial release. All the original environments have been redone. This could even be a stronger RPG than even New Vegas, 1, or 2, just from what I've seen from the quest flowcharts.

Whether it was lore breaking hardly matters now, if at all, because the developers of PB will be releasing the final version which is drastically different from the first version that pales in comparison. You can even follow their progress on their design document...

I thought the ship interior design was great, along with the animated alien devices. That's its only noteworthy strength that I rarely see mentioned. It was designed by the late Adam Adamowicz, which is probably why it still was appealing even among a disgrace of a DLC.
