Fallout 3's ending is one of the worst in all of gaming but I give credit to them for fixing it in Broken Steel. You can also wipe out the BOS there, which also corrects that flaw.

Pffft. Fallout 4 also dumbed down the mechanics to the point the only the Speech check exists in any element and even that is ridiculously bad. So, yes, it plays like shit.

While intriguing, I feel it falls into the category of Caesar being a lot smarter than he is. He's not the super genius house is in technology and probably wouldn't know how to operate it or have someone who could do it for him. Arcade Ganon would just flush him. :)

Canon-wise, I think it's: 1. They're one of the ineffectual Elders that Maxson's historians are shitting on. 2. They're the Sentinel that is presently ruling in the Capital Wasteland back home. 3. They decided to go "Tale of Two Wastelands" or "Mothership Zeta Crew" and get the fuck out of town.
