Ghouls were originally intended to be mostly defenseless and weak from what I understand. Have you tried fighting the Necropolis ghouls in Fallout 1? They just shuffle around and punch for no damage. They're not scary in the slightest because they don't transmit ghoulification like a zombie. I...

Obsidian doesn't seem to be against the idea of instant ghoulification. Camp Searchlight is filled with ghouls made from NCR soldiers that were exposed to a radiation bomb.(Thanks, Wiki)

The problem being, ghoulification is supposed to occur by non-lethal doses over an extended period of time. Even then, most aren't supposed to survive and become ghouls.

Call me an idiot.....but I never realized the Colt 6520 was a revolver. How does that cylinder even hold 12 rounds? Anyways, I suppose the cylinder might somehow feed upward into a locking position above it if you want to stretch the imagination.
