Isometric TBRPG or New Vegas-styled FPSRPG?

I personally think a mix is best, but the mini-games should be different. Something like Oblivian's lockpick mini-game might be nice, it's much harder to brute-force, and you can also just auto-pick with your char's skill level, breaking picks if you fail. Making it so the "sweet spot" resets...

Japanese nuclear bomb survivors want Obama to apologize

It's sort of amazing what isn't taught in American history classes. Now most of the stuff can be taught by a good teacher, but with the push toward teaching for the test and nothing else it's getting harder to do. Our textbooks teach a sanitized version of history, that don't cover any of the...

I honestly can't tell if this is serious or not.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Not sure exactly, probably some malware hidden in a mod, considering that's the most common thing that would be a security risk for me.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

There's an option in windows that allows you to reset to factory setting. Morrowind is good. Someone from the dark brotherhood tried to kill me. He wasn't very good. Now I have lots of money (that armour was worth a lot). I decided to sell it because I'm going medium armour, and wearing armour...

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Virus. My virus protection couldn't remove it, and I couldn't be bothered to sort it out manually. All my stuff is backed up on flash drives, so all I really lost was time. I've had the hard-drive die on this thing (after owning it for about 5 months), so I don't store anything important...

Japanese nuclear bomb survivors want Obama to apologize

Japan was broken before the bombs, their government just refused to admit it. American bombing runs were done with impunity. There was nothing Japan could have done. The bombs were dropped simply to avoid a land invasion, which would have cost more lives on both sides. At least the first bomb...

Japanese nuclear bomb survivors want Obama to apologize

That's one of the main reasons it won't happen. The Japanese government doesn't want an apology, because that would mean they would have to apologize for their war-crimes, which many in the Japanese establishment refuse to even admit. Of the general populous of Japan, I think they largely admit...

Maurice Hinchey (D) Chris Gibson (R) They both hold a great amount of respect from me for standing by their principles and not succumbing to partisan bullshit.

Fallout 4 - Far Harbor Official Trailer

Looks like they really like their OP weapons in FH. That's doing 1013 damage before resistances. Edit: also, it looks like it is smaller than Shivering Isles. 'Least according to this. http://fallout.gamepedia.com/Far_Harbor:_A_Size_Comparison

Fallout 2 Lore is garbage too...

I thought the temple of trials was stupid, but apprently they were forced to add it by the publisher, so I forgive them.

There's a lot to be excited about right now.

And that's sort of why I would like them to go for open world (or, more accurately, structured open world, like STALKER). With what they have done, it's pretty clear that they could still tell a good story and keep an open world interesting and engaging. The writing styles would have to be a bit...

Doesn't mean they can't be good. The Metro games have excellent stories, and you influence how they turn out (the endings).

    Fallout 4: Exploring Far Harbor

Yeah, it does now that I think of it. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded if they just added elite combat armour or something. It would be a nice throwback to an awesome set of armour in NV. This just looks clunky and bad, not anything you would want to fight in. Also, that harpoon gun is super ugly.

    Fallout 4: Exploring Far Harbor

The trailer looks OK, but that combat armour is not to my liking. Far too chunky.
