Fallout Tactics mod The Sum (1.8b)

Maybe you would have better luck just to edit your character the way you want it with the entity editor of Tactics. Anyways, you can just use a prefab character in my mod, and also the editors are available right through the main menu, so go for this instead (if of course you don't mind starting...

Resize vanilla mission maps and other things

Haha yess, this happens to me too, the "out of memory" error. But not with a lot of maps. As it is a 32 bit old program, I guess this is as far as it can get. In no way those kind of old engines can use the potential of your machine or mine... :P But, yeah, that's ok. I usually launch 2-3-4...

Resize vanilla mission maps and other things

Heho. Don't think there are limitations regarding the number of maps, never heard of them and certainly never experienced them. So it is a good sign. Regarding map that appear empty, It might be because of 2 things. I used a program called FT Improver to make my maps, it allows some more scripts...

Resize vanilla mission maps and other things

Hello hello! Good let me check that Triggers All the CVAR_ are campaign variables, so they are used to communicate between missions and bunker. As in the first picture you are in a bunker, it means each of those CVAR is used to change the behaviour of that bunker based on completed...

Fallout Tactics mod The Sum (1.8b)

Ah, Wonders! There are no save editor specific to The Sum, but I guess any Tactics savegame editor, like Bosche (https://www.fileplanet.com/archive/p-54032/BOSCHE-Fallout-Tactics-Character-Editor-v3-10) would work? Never tried those, unfortunately. Also, after playing a bit more with LUA (from...

Resize vanilla mission maps and other things

Good morning! Oh okay, I have to introduce you to triggers a bit. You see, it does not matter the order of the missions or the possible CD attached to the missions as they are not used by the game. What is used to reveal the missions or complete them are triggers set up in the maps themselves...

Resize vanilla mission maps and other things

Hi again :D I think you can simply stick with uncovered if this is the way you want the game to display your maps, namely without their name until the city is properly visited. You can always see the mission code names list to the left of Campaign editor, so you know which one you click and...

Resize vanilla mission maps and other things

Ah it's a real pleasure. I enjoy some good knowledge test from time to time, and it's not like it is difficult as I swim (and drown...) in this sinced so long :P So, le'ts get to business :) - The second parameter really is anything you want it to be. It is just important to use the exact same...

Resize vanilla mission maps and other things

Ah hi there! I'll be happy to point you to some useful directions... 1. Making your own campaign involve developping your own campaign.txt file (like this one : https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Campaign.txt) and importing it in the Campaign editor (in FT tools.exe). There, you can import part or...

Fallout Tactics mod The Sum (1.8b)

Ah superb! This pleases me very much. And don't be afraid to give me any comment and suggestion you feel like, kind or harsh no matter, I will take them into account as the game will still be in development for quite a while. There are still much to do with the communities, so any help to flesh...

Fallout Tactics utility FTSE - Fallout Tactics Scripting Engine (0.56a)

While coding with FTSE, I realized that GetEffectMaximum() for a consumable item is not working at all. It results in the code not being compiled, so the following code is uselss. GetEffectMinimum() does work, however.

Fallout Tactics mod Children of the Apocalypse 2 (1.1)

Fantastic and memorable job you all did here cataloging mods and addons and creating installers for them. I would be interested, especially after my next release which will be a big bug fix release, to benefit your help in creating an installer for The Sum 1.61a. If anyone could help me to it...

Fallout Tactics utility FTSE - Fallout Tactics Scripting Engine (0.56a)

It also allows the manipulation of the text log at the bottom left corner, and the addition of any overhead texts. You can also detect any entity by its name or tagname, and modify most of these entities attributes, excluding hitpoints, poison points and rad points. You can force an item to stay...

Fallout Tactics utility FTSE - Fallout Tactics Scripting Engine (0.56a)

I did not have a reply from the author in a very long while too. I guess we might have to assume this is as far as it gets. Unless some other programmer with Lua knowlege step up, of course.
