    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Mentats let you think better. What is intelligence? Your ability to think well and quickly. To form connections, and make sense of things, to understand. Psycho, as the name implies, gives you a blood-rush. Don't you know, that drugged people are more resilient to pain and don't go down so...

Why are so many people buying this game?

And what is also annoying, they give the most boring faction one of the coolest bases in the game. The Castle is an awesome location where you can have a lot of fun rebuilding it and it has quite a high building ceiling. The Prydwen is great, but you can't build anything here or settle it. The...

    Companion Likes/Dislikes make no sense

Addictol is a funny thing, because the loading screens say it's a "rare" drug and addition is a serious business. Meanwhile you can buy it at every drug-related vendor and find it in various place. Serious business my ass.

    Character faces

Didn't recognize who it was supposed to be. Looked at the spoiler, and frankly, still didn't really see it. Maybe because the hair is not curly enough. I would say her mouth is too narrow and the jawline not prominent enough. Also the nostrils should be umm.. How to say it, flatter, but...

    The Non-American Politics Thread

Poland had a complete change of leadership with the opposition seizing both the president and the parliament and the media went completely batshit crazy. And German media is on it too, as it means that they will not be able to basically tell Poland what to do anymore.

    Lamest Legendary Item?

The whole legendary mechanic is bad in every possible part of it. You have random creatures with the prefix legendary, that just gives them more health and damage. When hurt enough they REFILL their health for no reason and then they drop a RANDOM item with a random ENCHANTMENT. There is nothing...

"Kid In The Fridge" Quest = the stupidest quest ever.

Or even better, not do it at all. FNV with the wild wasteland perk(or without?) had a fridge joke as a reference to Indiana Jones, I believe, and that's enough. It was cool, it was random but it wasn't a quest or anything, just something you stumble upon, laugh(Or as in my case, not get the joke...

    I miss you, Fallout

Well, that's because there aren't that many people who aren't raiders. ;p When it comes to the naval cannon, I sold it right after getting it. Didn't even fire a shot. It was my little "SCREW YOU Bethesda!" moment.

Bethesda really should be ashamed of themselves with Fallout 4

[Confirmed bachelor]Oh, aren't YOU an intellig- ...... Wait, no, that's from a game with actually good writing and roleplaying.

Bethesda really should be ashamed of themselves with Fallout 4

In retrospect, "Fighting the good fight with your voice" was quite the intelligent observation.

    Anybody else hate the music?

Much agreed. The music in Fallout 1 and 2 made me feel anxious, uneasy and even kinda scared. It had this eerie feel to it, something that you can't just easily put your finger on. To me music in fallout 4 is just kinda plain and rather boring. I don't feel like it's reinforcing the tone of the...

Why are so many people buying this game?

I have something like 120 hours in Fallout 4 so far. Since it came out, I barely played any other game. (Some Armored Warfare and World of Warships here and there) And I think it's a very bad game. Why do I still play it? Novelty. It's a new game, one I haven't seen much of, so I want to see...

J.E. Sawyer still talks about Fallout: New Vegas

Well.. He's the PR guy. That's kinda... you know... his job. And if you ask me, he's terrible at it and the whole child in a fridge explanation he's given people is a proof of just that. I doubt what he said was the voice of the dev team. To me it just sounds like he couldn't give two sh*ts...

do you support a mount system for F4?

The problem is more in the fact that the map is filled to the brim with generic stuff. In Skyrim there were large swathes of fields where there was pretty much nothing but nice grass and some herbs. In F4 wherever you turn you have raiders, mutants, gunners and zombies. It doesn't really lend...

J.E. Sawyer still talks about Fallout: New Vegas

Well, to be fair, Pete is not an actual developer, now is he? He's just a PR guy, he probably had no hand whatsoever in the creation of the game. Which makes me wonder, because he is a terrible PR guy...

"Kid In The Fridge" Quest = the stupidest quest ever.

Vampires in Skyrim. There you go, this was the inspiration for Bethesda. They had a 300 years old little girl, so now they also have a 200 years old little boy. Because why the hell not? And I think it is a precedent, because it makes no sense. Being a ghoul only prolongs your life. You still...

So, can we talk about what Fallout 4 does well?

Skill based... Skill Based... What kind of "skill" do you need to be good at this game? There is practically no skill involved here! Only at higher difficulties do you need to do more than just stand and shoot the bad guys. Also, it sounds almost as if you tried to say that the classics were not...

Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

Speaking of Power Armor under water. I couldn't help myself but actually check what happens when you try to swim in it. Unsurprisingly, you start slowly walking down the riverbed. Kinda cool, but you have a limited supply of air which isn't indicated anywhere. Almost drowned this way.
