    JE talks about Bis/IPLY

Messiah also took a long, long time to develop already, and even had delays to get the kinks out. That's the problem with Shiny. They were always given huge ass budgets, lots of time, and still managed to produce flops. It still rather amazes me that Fargo actually morgaged a lot of...

    JE talks about Bis/IPLY

Fan sites thinking a game is classic? Yeah, there's a groundbreaking thing there. The game must rule if that's the case! Just like Daikatana must rule because the people at PlanetDaikatana loved the game, right? It's not only a fan site, but it's one of those cool GameSpy operated sites. Or...

    JE talks about Bis/IPLY

That's one hell of a sentence there. Sacrifice wasn't "Brilliant" at all. It was Rock, Paper, Scissors with flashy graphics and little else. In fact, Sacrifice's resource system was pitiful considering the first person to lose a battle tended to lose the game. Why? Because not only do you...

    Interplay under investigation

Morrowind.. The combat sucked bad as did the dialogue system. The plot for the game was linear as hell, as were all the guild quests. The only major fun I had with the game was exploring around the island. Sea Dogs and Pirates of the Caribbean weren't that good as CRPGs either, so big MEH on...

    Interplay under investigation

Interplay contracts out their shareholder public relations to the company Luke Haase works for. He doesn't work for Interplay, his company has a contract with Interplay. Why would he need to look for a new job? It's not like he has a hard job, either. Ever read the Raging Bull forums? I...

Then there's this: Correct me if I blinked and missed something, but Interplay only shipped 400k SKUs of BGDA2 before Atari up and yanked their D&D rights accoarding to that 10-K, so where'd the other 100k that supposedly shipped come from? Interplay was trying to get an advance on...

Sean K. Reynolds denies that Interplay is evicted

Interplay, a company that made most of it's money selling PC games, decided that CONSOLES = LOTSA MONEY. They also thought NAME RECOGNITION > QUALITY TITLES, so they went from making decent PC titles to buggy, hastily made PC titles and finally really crappy console games using PC franchise names.

That'd almost be as wonderful as the new MicroSoft Amiga with Intel Technology Inside. The beautiful part of this is that Fallout Enforcer is Interplay's only recent game they've released that they can still sell - and it's not selling. That bit of irony warms my heart. They may have put a...

There's not much in the way of job security in the game industry either. However, while there may not be too many jobs in the game industry, there are thousands of stocks to invest in and anyone that's thought Interplay is a good one to long term invest in since 2001 is a complete moron. It's...

    Still no checks

Phones get cut off within the month. They need those phones to conduct business, so it's not like rent where there is an eviction process that takes a while. I'm not surprised they pay the phone and power bill at all, they need those to appear to operate and there's very little grace period.

    Still no checks

That's pretty damned stupid since that just means the phone bill has been paid this month.

    IPLY facing lawsuits

Well, I tend to agree with Rosh. Then again, we've been saying the company has been going down the tubes since late 2001. The signs were there then - including the loss of millions in converting to console games, the delayings of RLH and Galleon, the lay offs of 14 Degrees East, the release of...

    IPLY facing lawsuits

Yup, he's an utter idiot. BGDA3 would have to sell 2.5M copies at $60 a unit just to make Atari $50M. That's not counting development cost, PR, packaging, etc. - just the money that returns from the sales of the unit. If BGDA didn't sell nearly that much, and BGDA2's sales were slower than the...

Interplay once again fails to file its proper SEC filings

That 0.087 value is from April 29th, not from today. From the Yahoo listing: Last Trade: 0.087 Trade Time: Apr 29 So, that number is about a month old. It did go up to 6 cents today, though: http://finance.lycos.com/qc/stocks/quotes.aspx?symbols=BB:IPLY
