    Interplay lost Baldur's Gate?

Ole Frymuchan got a reply from his good buddy and deluded partner, stockman20054: I just wonder if these two aren't Herve and Molitor. No one could be this stupid.

I'll make a comment about his gender persuasion later to balance out the cosmos.

    Interplay's D&D rights; possible explanation

He's also got ties to Avalon, which is going down the tubes as well.

    Interplay's D&D rights; possible explanation

Nope. No one can sell them. Atari owns the brands because they own WotC, who owns the BG/IWD/etc. brands, and also owns D&D. However, IPLY owns the characters and other things in those games, because BioWare created them under contract to IPLY.

    Interplay lost Baldur's Gate?

Yeah, I did a little dance on all of that guy's posts from Raging Bull on RPG Codex's comment thread on the same subject. I just can't imagine anyone thinking that Interplay losing the license behind a bunch of their most profitable games is going to raise the stock to three times what it is...

    So, yeah, Fallout

I never even saw the argument. I did bash Kummy for deleting it, though. Told ya it was a bad idea. Can't say I didn't warn you guys about that. :D

    IPLY Meeting today!

Well, at least it wouldn't have had one of my big pet peeves, tutorials that try to blend with the story and end up breaking any immersion you're trying to work towards.. You know what I mean. OH NO! The orcs are attacking the village! They're battering down the gates and laying siege to our...

    Interplay lost Baldur's Gate?

The stock's been down to 4 cents before. It's not going to go belly up if 600,000 shares are put back on the market. In fact, everyone could dump all their stock except Herve and Eric, and nothing will happen. If he does dump them, he won't be out $45,000. If Atari and Vivendi starve...

    Interplay lost Baldur's Gate?

They won't last that long. And that frymuchan guy needs to get a clue. He's holding on to 600,000 shares of IPLY stock because he thinks Herve can find a buyer. No one wants to buy Interplay when they can just wait a month or so for the liquidation sale.

    Interplay lost Baldur's Gate?

Because they don't OWN the Baldur's Gate rights. They're renting them.

    IPLY Meeting update

Yes. They're having a bake sale using BAWLS soda in their cookies.

    IPLY Meeting today!

The Temple of Trails wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't horribly out of place, kind of screwed certain character types, and so on. It was basically a tutorial that really didn't fit the setting of the game or even the setting of the town in which it was located. Hell, there's even been jokes...

    FalloutNights Beta

NWN is enough to make me think it'll suck. There's Fallout editors out there, you know.

    FalloutNights Beta

OH boy! A Fallout mod for NWN made by guys who thought Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel's singleplayer was good. How could it not suck?

    IPLY Meeting today!

That's 825 40MM white ping pong balls, if anyone's buying. Yeah, $275 is bullshit considering the CEO just spent $450,000 buying up 9M shares of stock. That's one thing I hate about corporationalism, the fact the CEOs aren't responsible for the debts of the company. At least the health...

    Interplay finally files belated 10-K

The lowest was four cents, back this time last year. EDIT: The best part of that is them losing the rights to distribute BG:DA2 because of lack of funding.. If they hadn't pissed away the BG3 rights in order to extend the BG:DA licence, they would have had BG3 on shelves generating money for...

    Desert Law

That's one thing I always thought was stupid about Road Warrior. You got these people living in this oil derrick thing with big, fortified walls and such, and homosexual punks attacking them for the gasoline there.. in gas powered cars.. And yet no one stopped to think, What the hell are these...
