    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Ugh, I hate that. Loot in game being tied in with player level is the dumbest thing ever. If I can manage to beat harder enemies at a significantly lower level then I should be rewarded with whatever it is they normally drop rather than some crap adjusted to my level.

The Brotherhood of Steel are utterly useless

If you ever do any of their quests for them it only gets worse. I won't spoil it, but them being present in Massachusetts doesn't make any sense at all. They are by far - IMO, the worst faction in Fallout 4.

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Yeah it doesn't make any sense at all does it? That's just how Bethesda is in the year 2015, though. They don't even care to fact check things with lore established by even their own older games. Can't wait til TESVI comes out and triggers a complete community meltdown of Bethesda's userbase...

Procedural Generation of Quests in Fallout 4

Yeah. Most quests in Fallout 4 really suck ass. I'm curious if Bethesda pulled over some people from Elder Scrolls Online and had them work on it. They wreak of being from a bad MMO and hey, ESO fits the bill.. Quests aside I believe the companion like/dislike system could've been good if they...

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Yeah I don't mind this retcon either. And I have to agree 100%. Power Armor feels so right in Fallout 4 I'm completely willing to forgive the retcon. It's stated in game T-60 was made pre-war during one of the loading screens: Operation Anchorage ended in 2077. So there's a little over ten...

Zero Punctuation Review: Fallout 4 (Hilarious and On Point)

I think this guy gives the Settlement system too much blame for what's wrong with Fallout 4. I doubt Settlement building costed Bethesda too much to make or even required much of their time to implement. So blaming it is really silly. What really made Fallout 4 suck was its story, story...

    Lamest Legendary Item?

I've only got one Legendary item that I've ever used. It was an Explosive Sniper Rifle.. so not even all that good. The most pathetic would be the 20~30 other Legendaries I got stored away in my Settlements.. Yeah I've really no luck getting anything good.

Can we all agree Bethesda did power armor right?

Yeah Fusion Core's are annoying but I can understand their design in a way. If they weren't in game there would be no downside at all to using Power Armor and honestly there hardly even is with them. Only way to run out of cores is to do a lot of aimless exploring in my experience.

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

Unfortunately I'd say there's a decent chance we'll get an Alien DLC again. At the Museum of Freedom in Concorde it was mentioned that there was some conflict on the Moon () with the US and some unknown enemy. This "history" is 100% new to Fallout 4. I doubt Bethesda would just randomly...

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

I got as many of the ones that made sense from this thread and other sites. It's likely incomplete, but if you want a better list get unlazy. :p Retcons: At least 3~4 Vertibirds being used by the military pre-war in Massachusetts alone when at the time it was supposed to have been in the...

Everyone ready for the Fallout 4 awards?

I don't really care for any GoTY award. So if Fallout 4 wins or loses, it doesn't matter. :p

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

The whole world being mostly rubble, sand, and ALL buildings having ONLY one story surviving is just silly. The concept art and ending slides of Fallout 1 indicate otherwise, and honestly paint a much more appealing wasteland. I'd have to agree with LiveOnTheEdge. The only reason most buildings...

Bethesda fans want MORE aliens - surprised or not?

Not surprised. There was a poll on Reddit a few days ago that was made to see what DLC people wanted the most. Alien DLC was somewhat popular but strangely a Cthulu DLC was #1.. I really can't imagine such a DLC.. Myself, I just want a Nick Valentine DLC.

    91 hours in, my review.

I felt that it actually did generate urgency it just quickly dies off because NPC's you meet very early on just get in the way of it with their problems. Meeting Preston in Concorde goes something like this for example: Preston: So what's your story? Me: My wife was murdered and my son was...

    Companion Likes/Dislikes make no sense

Mildly related. I saw this on Reddit a few hours ago and it instantly reminded me of Piper and the lock picking discussion here. :P http://aatkaw.tumblr.com/post/134373900235/how-to-romance-piper-wright

"Kid In The Fridge" Quest = the stupidest quest ever.

You're not the only one. Although if they added Ghouls like Harold/Set I think keeping the current ones in for variety showing how they change over the years could be good and add a little more diversity to Ghouls. There could be heavily irradiated ones like Harold/Set for instance that have...

    Companion Likes/Dislikes make no sense

That's not their replacement for karma it's their "upgrade" for NV's similar system where companions would.. like/dislike certain things you did. Example: Give Veronica a dress - a like. Being shunned by NCR with Boone as a companion: Dislike. He'll even leave if you don't try to resolve it...

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

While I think the East Coast BoS are at their peak power in Fallout 4, their strength is likely going to go in decline massively from that point. Reasons being:

Mods On Console: What Do You Think?

I think mods on consoles are gonna suck and be chalked up as yet another one of Todd's lies when the modding system is released. Console Fallout 4 players are simply not gonna have the same mod experience as PC gamers. The game already runs like ass (< 30 FPS with lots of stutter) without mods...

So, can we talk about what Fallout 4 does well?

Even one of the former leaders of the Great Khans - Garl Death-Hand from Fallout 1 gave you the chance to talk/interact without trying to kill you. Fallout 4 raider's are so badly done and overly abundant in the Wasteland it's crazy.
