Goddammit, I hate being wrong - showrunners fucked New Vegas

I'm talking specifically about 3, and fan made projects that expand the worlds of the earlier games. Not Fallout as a whole.

    Josh Sawyer interview at RPS

The sad truth is; aside from an occasional indie game, most modern games have to be for everyone (not in terms of age rating) making it near impossible for game developers to implement features, mechanics, storylines etc. as there's far more eyes on the product than there were in the 90's. All...

Goddammit, I hate being wrong - showrunners fucked New Vegas

It's definitely not impossible, it's just that in the time it would take to make a complete conversion, several other games set in the world of Fallout could be made. It just seems like a waste of time to fix something that's really not worth fixing.

That's a lot of work, almost an unreasonable amount. Think about the reasons it's taken so long to get a successor to Van Buren.

The first Season of the Fallout tv show is out

Does anyone know of any interviews or discussions with Chris Avellone? The only ones I can find are related to the danger hair allegations. Also, Xwitter is retarded as even if I wanted to read his, I don't have an account, so all the Xweets are arranged by the most popular.

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

It's a shame that the fucking of franchises didn't end with Robert. Edit: Let me ask you a few things: 1.) Do you consider FO3 to be a good game? 2.) Do you consider FO3 to be a good RPG? 3.) Do you Consider FO3 to be a good Fallout game? See, even if it was a good game, it fails (for me and...

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

I very much doubt that was their reason for purchasing the IP, companies like money after all.

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Yes, Apocalypse Road, which if we take the Fallout timeline into consideration, sounds like it would have been a never ending road.

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Also, if Bethesda wanted to keep the world in a perpetual state of the Apocalypse, they could have just set their games in the earlier years of the Fallout timeline.

Goddammit, I hate being wrong - showrunners fucked New Vegas

That's the thing isn't it, the negatives so far outweigh the very small positives that the positives are hardly worth talking about. I liked the soundtrack of 3, at least to a degree, it definitely gave the feeling of being alone in a dead world. Other than that, aside from a few side quests and...

Goddammit, I hate being wrong - showrunners fucked New Vegas

Did you really think they wouldn't touch New Vegas? Really? Also, you sound a bit biased, what if the roles were reversed? Why you'd be bitching and moaning like you claim the rest of us are. Edit: Also, hello from a fellow Kentuckian

Goddammit, I hate being wrong - showrunners fucked New Vegas

Let me ask you this, which games in the series do the show runners know the most about? And by extension the "World Building" within?

Regardless, no matter how they want to word it, it wasn't handled properly; Bethesda okayed it, so it's still on them.

Goddammit, I hate being wrong - showrunners fucked New Vegas

The problem isn't necessarily that the NCR got nuked, it's that Bethesda are the ones that did it. See ever since Fallout 3, Bethesda has shown that in the past 200+ years their east coast has been incapable of establishing long lasting realistic settlements. Now is that for a good storyline...

Goddammit, I hate being wrong - showrunners fucked New Vegas

I get the feeling it's the showrunners/Bethesda's way of not taking responsibility for consistency. What's the importance of what is or isn't canon, when the events of previous entries are rendered moot by the next. It's self contained canon.

Goddammit, I hate being wrong - showrunners fucked New Vegas

I said something similar not too long ago - Fallout's been dead for a long time. What's been presented to us since 2008 (barring NV) has been a skin suit of made up of it's iconography, all the while the wearer is screaming "remember the time", whilst completely missing the point of those...

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

I used to be part of a fandom around 2016 (not going to say which, as it's embarrassing), while I was a part of said fandom I ran into various types of forum users. One such person had an image of Spock for an icon and he always had a way of inserting off topic discussions unrelated to the core...

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Honestly, aside from the Gulper, she really hasn't asked me about anything else.
