My apologies if I came off as an asshole. Just a little on edge after reading through this thread. I hate BGS as much as the next guy, but some people here seem to love to complain just for the sake of complaining.
With that logic, they're both just ripping off the Antlion queen from half life 2. It's just a common design, it's everywhere. So if you're gonna bitch, bitch about something worth bitching about.
I personally dislike jalapenos. It's not because they're too hot, it's just that it doesn't really TASTE good, ya'know? I love me a mean salsa, don't get me wrong, but it's just something about a jalapenos flavor.
For me it's peanutbutter on waffles w/ syrup. I thought everyone did it until I brought it up in class one day, then I was labeled as a mutant the rest of the year.
I personally think that it would be better if we didn't go post-new vegas. I feel like it would be better if we left the time period up to any individual gm. Feel like a definite date would be too restrictive.
I agree with all of that.
Also, in regards to what should be canon, I think we should really consider the Fallout Bible. It's basically 100% canon if we disregard Bethesda's games.
Sounds interesting. Maybe there's a town of "mutated" people hiding somewhere that's in constant danger of being discovered the Enclave. Dangers including spies, the occasional supply run, enclave patrols(on foot and w/ vertibird), etc.
Fair point.
I really think we should stick with the Fallout universe, though. Pretty much the whole point of this PnP is to tell our own vision of what we think Fallout should be.
Maybe a campaign based on the unfair treatment of friendly mutants? Sort of like a Witcher situation, where the nonhumans are forced to live in slums, and are often targeted by the local police/guards.
In case any of you care, I ditched the low-int run (wasn't very fun not being able to talk to anyone) and decided on a monk playthrough. Which in this case means wearing no armor and using only fists. Pretty easy so far, made it to the Hub with very little trouble.
