    Very good reading, thank you.

What is that about FOnline being taken down by Bethesda anyway? Asking out of curiosity because I've never heard of it. Cvet still actively develops FOnline engine and as far as I know there's a bunch of old distributions still running out there.

Yes, but the impact of these total conversion games is fairly limited, in spite of the fact that they maintain a very good quality. I think the audience Fallout has now consists predominantly of the fans that started with this franchise after Bethesda took over, with great portion of them...

I'm not 100% sure that's true because it is known that Bethesda initially planned on placing their Fallout 3 on the west coast too (Todd Howard mentioned that in the Making of documentary iirc). Obsidian was also asked to remove a reference about San Francisco being nuked from New Vegas (that...

Here's how I see it. IP holders usually interfere with cases of fair use when there is a direct threat to their own commercial activity, ongoing or planned. For instance, Take Two has taken down project Re3 few months before they released their own remaster simply because it could very well...

Well, just to be clear, I don't have access to everything, just a bunch of documents that were relevant to the questions I addressed to Chris a year and a half ago. That's it. The reason is that right now, I don't need any other documents. I work primarily on technology at this point, not the...

Well, how else do you think I'd be able to build that map this close in the first place?

Implemented the last major technical feature - dim haze of war (fog of war). There's still no collision-based line of sight and entities are not hidden outside of the view range, but the shaders and the whole rendering part is done and I'm very proud of it.

Sorry for tagging you again, but did you receive my message? I would not ask otherwise but you seemed to have little trouble finding things around the forum page, so I want to make sure.

Haha no problem, I'll send you a PM myself. You'll see a notification in the upper panel, "Inbox" menu.

Looking at your portfolio, I think this is exactly the level of detail we could use for our 3D art. Please hit me via PM, I have a couple of questions to ask first and then we can figure something out. Thank you for your interest btw.

I'd like to have the full technical background done before releasing anything. There is still a lot of mechanics and functionalities that need to be implemented. I implemented many tools for content creation. But I'd not call it an SDK just yet. There's still a lot of work ahead.

Piecing some of the latest work together. Animation system, AI actions, particle FX, etc.

Sure thing, I just don't have much time to post updates as regularly as I used to.

That is actually the plan. Demo is a perfect setting to test out all of the tools and implementations we're using.

I don't know. From what I've seen in Yesterday, I don't think so. Not hating though, I admire Hexer's work and I absolutely loved certain parts of it. As for legal issues, from what I was told, it's Interplay that *could* cause trouble. Which seems odd and is, of course, extremely unlikely, but...

Nope, I'm very sorry but I can not. I was explicitly told not to share these materials, I promised I won't and I'm a man of my word.

Map making tools are finished, and most of the geometry is also in there. The trickier part is design tools, scripting and AI, which is what I'm working on now

Absolutely. I'm still converting some of the props and other details. The process is rather time consuming (due to the quantity) and I have no one to help me with it, so there's only a few props placed in these screens. I'm not sure which one you have in mind, although all the "teasers" I made...

I get your concern, although it isn't really me who decides on how art direction should be handled. What you see is what Black Isle created. I'm just a workforce that put it back together, just the way it actually existed.
