    Fallout 4 VS Skyrim

The worst thing about Fallout 4 is the totally friggin' schizophrenic approach it forces you to take with the main story. Like you said, it jams the whole "frantic parent looking for his/her kidnapped child" in your face at every opportunity, while at the same time, urging you to run around...

Someone at Polygon doesn't know how to play DOOM.

If I had to wager, I'd put my money on the nova, every time.

    Is Dead Money Unfair?

And even with the holograms, you could just hang back, study their patrol patterns, and then time your moves to evade them. Or look for the emitters.

    Is Dead Money Unfair?

I don't think it was "unfair" at all. It forced me to re-evaluate my play style and adapt to the environment and the enemies. I thought it was a nice challenge, and once I did adapt I did just fine in it.

    FALLOUT WARS Audio Track

Good lord, how did you manage to make your way through this? I would have lasted all of 10 minutes before I was googling "self trepanning with common household tools". :freak: Very nice voice work on that, BTW.

Creation Kit and Bethesda.net mods are out

Compared to what you describe, yes they do. Compared to the way Bethesda handled mods (and mod makers) in previous releases, not so much. And will we be able to even say that six months down the road? Judging from what I've seen from Bethesda since the hype for Fallout 4 really kicked into...

    Things That Serve No Point

Back on topic; All of the ridiculous little animated Vault Boy icons that clutter the perk chart and the Pip Boy, that pop up every time your character talks to someone, crawls out of bed, gets a quest jammed down his/her throat, ... IOW every couple of minutes you play. Maybe if they...

Creation Kit and Bethesda.net mods are out

I'm just about convinced that's Bethesda's attitude toward us these days.

Whats up with the fallout 4 hate

His "work" here is done. He dropped his deuce on the living room rug, and is now back in his safe space trading high-fives with his fellow drones over how he really "stuck it to those NMA h8rzzzz".

Creation Kit and Bethesda.net mods are out

Console mods won't be able to use script extenders, therefore there's no point in putting script-making or editing capabilities in the CK. I'm guessing that's the thinking behind this, anyway.

New patch adds Bethesda.net to main menu

I'd like to think they'd be smart enough to clue in on that, but then I look at the hideous-beyond-all-description "discussion forum" they've set up beside the mod site which they're eventually going to migrate all of the old forums to, and I just have to wonder.

    Fallout 4 review roundup #2

Don't forget the choice you have in deciding the order in which the members of the mob will be killed! Such meaningful decisions ...

"We want to answer 'yes' every time the player asks a question (...) " - Todd Howard

"If I can only have four answers, could they at least be something more than the same answer slightly rephrased four times?"

Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

In New Vegas you got full XP for any kills made by your companions. In FO3, you got partial XP for companion kills if you inflicted some minimum percentage of the damage yourself (I want to say 33%, but I don't remember the exact number); if you didn't score that minimum amount of damage you...

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

I agree with Ranger Boo - the Legion could have been fleshed out better, and probably would have been if Obsidian had been given more time to develop New Vegas. It's a shame, really; I think Obsidian kind of missed an opportunity with Lonesome Road. They could have maybe given us more...

So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

I'll bet you anything that's where Bethesda got the idea, also noticing that Obsidian did it in New Vegas with the one Wild Wasteland encounter outside of Goodsprings. Thing is, Obsidian's treatment of that was actually funny.

So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

I remember that, and I remember being warned by my parents (I was born in 1964, and by the time I was at playing on my own age there were still plenty of those old refrigerators around) to never play in them for that very reason. Like you said, kids died that way. That's hardly anything to...
