Does Anyone Really Care About VR?

Not really all that excited about it. It's probably going to be years before the technology gets past its current "cool gadget" stage, and even more years before it's actually affordable for most people.

How long would things last in a PA world?

Reinforced concrete structures would most likely have almost completely collapsed after 200 years, especially in a humid and/or salt water environment. The steel reinforcing bars corrode from exposure to moisture (and especially salt), and when they do corrode their volume increases...

    Trump is winning

The only term limit that applies is the 10-year lifetime one on the Presidency as established in the 22nd Amendment. A VP can run as a VP for another president, as long as he wouldn't go over the 10-year limit if he had to assume the office of President.

Obsidian CEO: “I’d love to turn Eternity into more like a Skyrim product”

Speaking of Obsidian, I found this one after clicking back to Neogaf via the old Bethesda forum (link to original interview is at the Neogaf link). Obsidian open to being bought by another company, talks independent dev pains

Turkish military has taken over government

And now the Turkish government is claiming that the US was behind the coup attempt, they've cut off power and shut down access to Incirlik Air Base, and shut down the airspace around the base, which is where the US was staging air strikes against ISIS. The base has about 5,000 USAF personnel...

Fallout 4 quest appears to be "heavily inspired" by New Vegas mod

Given Bethesda's rigorous devotion to bug testing and fixing, I can already see how this ends. Bethdrones chasing radroaches and super mutants in the middle of interstates, on airport runways, 10 feet away from the edges of rooftops of 30-story buildings, ... And right before they hit the...

Turkish military has taken over government

I was in the US Navy during the first Gulf War (1990-91) and we made four port stops in Turkey (Izmir, Istanbul and Antalya twice). I remember the calls to prayer being broadcast throughout the cities - don't know if they were in Turkish or Arabic though. Just about all of the locals ignored...

So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

Someone else brought this up, so I can't take credit for it, but ... The Institute is so advanced that they've developed a cure for cancer, but no one there thinks to give the drug to their leader, who's dying of cancer.

Bethesda Shows Where Their Priorities Are (Patch 1.6 New)

"We want you guys to make lots and lots of mods for the console players, but forget about all the really good ones you used to be able to make. Just shovel out whatever crap you can with the shit tools we give you, and it's all good!" Yeah, that' s really going to motivate the mod authors.

Bethesda Shows Where Their Priorities Are (Patch 1.6 New)

It's a lot worse than that. Here's a thread linked to earlier by CerberusGate that describes the problems with the unofficial patch - it gets pretty technical. https://www.reddit.com/r/FalloutMods/comments/4s2g41/fo4_psa_unofficial_fallout_4_patch_ufo4p_takes_an/ The upshot is, the problems...

    Nuka World Discussion

GRA was definitely worth the $3.99 they charged for it. Courier's Stash, not so much, but it was only $2.99. The only reason I bought Courier's Stash is that I wanted to use the Sawyer mod, and all of the DLC are required for it.

Bethesda Shows Where Their Priorities Are (Patch 1.6 New)

I think a lot of them came from Skyrim, which brought Bethesda to the attention of a huge number of people who had never played their games before.

Bethesda Shows Where Their Priorities Are (Patch 1.6 New)

I don't know how you can look at Fallout 4, then compare it to FO1, 2, New Vegas and even FO3, and not conclude that Bethesda did anything but target a whole new audience with 4. Fallout 3 was a reboot designed to get the fans of the original games back into the series, and while we can argue...

Some Fallout 4 Xbox mods are being stolen from the PC

That, and basically forcing Kinect on you. ETA - their marketing of it was just terrible, too. The always connected requirement was a smokescreen for one of the most odious DRM schemes ever conceived, and once people started discovering that and pushing back, Microsoft, instead of listening...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

Fallout 4 is a perfect example of what happens when you take game development away from actual developers and give it to the marketing department.

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

They tried to give it a Borderlands vibe, and did to a point, but in the end they just half-assed it like they did everything else in Fallout 4. That's the entirety of the game, in a nutshell. They grabbed ideas from Borderlands, Minecraft, Sims, anything else that they thought was "cool" and...

Fallout 4 Season Pass Steam Reviews

I should have mentioned the loss of ad revenue in my post - you're correct that that's the main reason why most games media sites simply can't be trusted. And while this business of withholding ad buys has been around forever in most industries, the gaming media and the entertainment media...
