I think they're just blind to how badly they're pissing off the modding community, maybe willfully blind. They probably figure if they can remaster Skyrim, then they can make console mods available for it as well, so console players will rush out and buy millions more copies just so they can...

It looks like Bethesda is (finally) taking some steps to cut down on the mod theft, pulling some mods that have been repeatedly reported as stolen and banning/suspending some accounts. Of course, nothing will stop the mod thieves from simply making new accounts and reposting their stolen files...

I can't make it more than about 50 to 60 hours into the game before I get bored and start losing interest. I'm on my second try at pushing further into it, but haven't even touched it in almost a week. I've started a new Witcher 3 playthrough instead.

In a way I'm almost relieved at that. I've been expecting them to release a DLC set in the Mojave for no other purpose than to completely retcon New Vegas out of the series, just because they can. If they don't or can't release another large DLC then that's off the table.

For NV, most of my armor would come from mods. But once I finished Dead Money, the fully modded holorifle was something that I never left home without.
