If you come to Penguincon this year, we are going to do a geeks with guns shoot- (May the 4th). In addition to computers, anime, gaming, geek culture, there will be a Handgun shoot, cowboy handgun shoot, and we are working on an NFA shoot.
My tax stamp just came back on this. W00t!
I have a new handguard and a polymer lower on order for it. I am also going to get a rail and try a 1-6x scope on it as well.
Thank you for your review!
From what I have read here in the USA, we are supposed to be getting a really short trigger reset (1-2mm) and really light trigger weight 3# or so (my full size has a 3# trigger). Does yours have this sort of trigger?
My Strike 1 had adjustable rear sight, so no...
1. That is by far the best condition FN49 I have ever seen so that provenance story seems likely to me.
2. I am a fan of the Strike One/Stryk pistols and am waiting on mine here (they have been held up for a few months now).
I look forward to more reviews from you on it as the only people who...
Speaking of .300 Blk, at the table I help with (local gun show) we have a Thompson Contender in .300 Whisper. I have no idea if its old enough that you would be prevented from shooting blackout out of it (no telling how old the barrel is). I had someone who was mad at me for telling them that...
There is an actual reason for the Mossburg Shockwave and the Tac-14: to have a weapon that is not legally a short Barreled shotgun and is generally legal. the Fightlite Raider is a pistol. its not like you cant get AR pistols already. The only advantage other than for featureless states, is...
The only purpose I can see is if it fits into a "featureless" category in a ban state. Other than that, its pretty useless to my needs (and I need basically everything....)
I have not tried the B&T stocks. I may grab one for a future 9mm K build. The Choate is great except when you get your nose up against the hinge while firing.
I really want a 9mm HK clone (will probably get a zenith and SBR it) but they were way more expensive than the 5.56 and .308 versions (by hundreds of dollars). The 5.56 was $200 less and the .308 was $500 less than a 9mm Zenith (the Zenith itself is also way less than the new H&K made ones)

If this is taking place in "whats left of the USA".... realistically there are 1000s of gun models that are not just plausible but likely.
Gun community estimates place the # of guns in the USA at close to 600 million. Official estimates are about 1/2 that and are patently inaccurate guesses...
The side folding stock is basically the same as what they went to with the MP5s. Its much more comfortable than the telescoping stocks. That is a US Choate stock not some random chinese stock. The loading is not so bad, it rocks like an AK and it has both the button and paddle mag release.
There are a lot of indie P/A games on Drive Thru as well as some larger more common games:
