    Video game cover discussion

Never seen that one before, pretty cool. I wouldn't mind displaying this box in my living room:

    Fallout 3 marathon for charity

It's a cool initiative and a charity well worth supporting IMO. People taking turns playing F3 could prove interesting to watch even if you dislike the game. Best of luck to them.

    What game was this?

Yes that is correct, it's the start of the first level :)

    What game was this?

Hehe that's good old Fade to Black, I accidentally bought the French version of that game, it ran like crap on my computer and most of my friends hated it because it was vastly different from its predecessor but I still enjoyed it quite a lot.

    8th generation of consoles

Yeah the ARMA engine is pretty horrible and as a result it's a huge resource hog. It's understandable that the game requires a fast cpu and lots of ram because of all the AI routines going on all the time but still it runs unacceptably slow. I can't wait to see if they managed to improve...

    8th generation of consoles

Stock Vga coolers are more often than not pretty horrible but you can simply get an aftermarket cooler for a mere 30$ and you will never have to worry about high temperatures again. Sure they can but in the case of Crysis 2 and many other games the buildings are used to create corridors so...

    8th generation of consoles

Crysis 2 is set in a linear urban environment which is far less taxing on the system than the lush open island setting of Crysis 1.

    What game was this?

It's very unforgiving but if you have played other early 3d adventures/ action games you might not have problems with the "awkward" controls for example. (Alone in the dark 1,2,3 control very similar) The prisoner's arm was ripped off by a forcefield while he was trying to escape and can be...

    What game was this?

In a chaotic mood I decided to take that secret with me to the realm of the grave. (hint) Bioforge is made of the finest unfiltered pure awesome, I'm still waiting for the sequel we were promised... The game works fine with Dosbox btw so if you are looking for a serious dose of nostalgia...

Rate the above song and post your own.

6/10, I liked the first minute of the song but once the drums and singer came in it became too melodious and overly "emotional" for my taste. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4FeT_BmVrU

    8th generation of consoles

Well I really hope the new consoles will be equipped with a more capable GPU but also with much more RAM and considerably faster CPU's so games can actually improve in more areas than just graphical fidelity. I can't imagine that gamers will accept fighting a maximum of 3-4 braindead enemies at...

    8th generation of consoles

According to rumour the new Xbox will use an Amd 6670 which is a 60€ entry-level card. On pc this card is by no means capable of "maxing" out current games. In fact you would have to turn down/off a lot of settings to achieve a stable 30FPS @ 1,920 x 1080. Personally I don't think this...

Escape from Hell? Always looked like a pretty cool game but for some reason I never played it. Another perhaps more recognizable screenshot from the game I posted on the previous page:

    The Darkness II

Never played the first game but I did try the demo of the sequel just now. I liked how the game tries to be more than just another FPS by using more than just standard weapons (you have regular weapons and "demon arms"), impaling an enemy with a pipe you just pulled from a wall is kind of...
