Haven't been following the development closely, but the previews look very promising so far. I do wonder how the skills work though, they almost make it sound like it's something you obtain once rather than upgrade systematically. Makes me wonder how all this will work.

This reminds me of another issue with the game - inability to switch between combat and non-combat mode at will. Hopefully it IS remembered, and the lessons learned will improve the Kickstarter system. This is a big marketing pitch for them, but so far I'm not really seeing hordes of fans...

I think LoL is better for "casually unwinding". I also personally like the new mechanics LoL introduced which DotA lacked and DotA2 didn't introduce.

For now the ones being "advertized" are Lost Lamb and Life on a Limb. The first one is not bad and designed similar to the OC. Short and unfinished, though. The second is trying to be more of a traditional RPG but is obviously constantly pushing engine limitations: - graphical glitches...

I think the game's a huge waste of potential, excused only (partially) by the low price tag. It's not BAD, but... Hopefully the other Kickstarter high-rollers don't end up this half-assed.

Hm, I expected it to be nonlinear for some reason. If it's on rails, then checkpoints make complete sense. One more reason to not bother with this one, though.

Replaying Witcher 2, this time as EE. Chickened out of Dark Mode though, playing on normal :)

People may be stupid and easy to manipulate, but I doubt that most are also creative enough to initiate something like that.

SS is focused on humor rather than linear story-telling in the writing department, so it's a bit of a poor comparison. Additionally, the game has WAY WAY superior level design and combat compared to anything I've ever seen in the Halo series (played 1CE, Reach and a bit of 3). I also think that...
