Smells like a troll/financed PR campaign.

Any Halo fans here? no? well here is a Halo thread anyway.

I've always liked Halo MP less than UT MP, and Halo SP less than Serious Sam SP. It's okay but doesn't really compare to my favorites. The series has also been going downhill, Halo CE campaign was relatively nice and open while Reach was quite corridory, heavily scripted, and had a corny story.

Really? I remember the game having a crapload of patches (not that they fixed everything but eh). There's also this: http://stalker.filefront.com/file/No_Garbage_Mugging_Fix;94469

Oh, maybe it was that. Though nothing's stopping you from spending everything to buy stuff with good price/weight ratio and then reselling after the mugging. Also, wasn't the loss of all cash a bug? Perhaps one of the later patches fixed it...

There is, though I don't recall the details. I think it's something like stashing everything before you get to that part.

Gameranx ranks top 10 post-apocalyptic games of all time

I agree. Otherwise we could just go ahead and label all of modern post-Soviet space post-apocalyptic. It sure looks the part  Though same applies to BL2 - failed colonies have never been "PA" per se.

When dialogue wheels and romancing options become important

If you mean 3.5e-style alignment system, then it was quite rigid and restrictive, though it did provide some decent archetypes. Still, as you said, it all still depends on writer/designer prowess, and I've never seen DnD alignment implemented properly or in an interesting way in a cRPG.

Torchlight for free / GoG Summer Sale

I meant NWN2 and KOTOR2. Obsidian did KOTOR2 as well, no? Haven't played it though. Yeah it does pick up and has some really cool moments.

Torchlight for free / GoG Summer Sale

It's a more "casual" title, I'd say, and still a great time-killer if you've got nothing better to do or are looking for a mindless title to relax. No surprise here, same devs for both, right? (IIRC, don't hit me too hard if I'm mistaken). NWN2 OC is a tad too linear but fun, though the...

Torchlight for free / GoG Summer Sale

Thanks for the tip, grabbed it. Will probably dust it off whenever I get bored of Neverwinter MMO. I wish Torchlight II was as smooth-running and well-optimized as the first game.

Oh, THAT place, I remember that, tough fight. Are you using some mods that change the number of spawns? I don't remember there being quite that many.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Dude can be harsh or a total pushover depending on your luck, ship upgrades/weapon setup, and how much time you invested into farming scrap and upgrading your ship. Not something you can beat on your first try, though. I think the Yatzee limerick about FTL is absolutely fantastic. I got...

    E3 2013

I'm a bit baffled as I can't come up with a good reason why someone would buy a 3rd game in a series of 2 crappy releases  BW one can love or hate, but DA series is snooze-worthy at best. It's foolish to confuse mismatch of personal and cultural preferences for "bad developers". Also...

    Playstation 4

Well, considering that I usually don't care much about MP and would want it mostly for the JRPGs and stuff, that doesn't matter as much to me. BTW, have we heard anything about region-blocking and such? Will it be possible to, say, import Japanese games to play on European systems?

    Mad Max Open World Game

Nope. The mechanics/sandbox/gameplay entertainment value was immense though. It's kind of like GTA with a twist.

I recommend watching Cynical Brit's preview of the game.
