    Playstation 4

Would be pretty logical. Not sure on the giveaways, but that's how discounts work. Also, all I hear about PS4 so far (including some upcoming titles) looks fantastic, and I almost want to buy one myself.

    BG in NWN2

As it says, "NOTE: Baldur's Gate: Reloaded requires that you have both Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir expansion packs installed." So basically you need the full NWN2 installation. I certainly plan to dust mine off. Well, it comes with excellent modding tools and a community which...

    BG in NWN2

Just came across this: http://neverwinter.nexusmods.com/mods/794//? Thought some people on this forum would be interested. Haven't given it a shot, but might at some point - although the IWD remake for NWN2 didn't do much for me, the more tricky low-level fights were way harder to control in...

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Swapper was a cute little indie game.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Neverwinter Online. Rather liking it so far, especially the user-made missions.

    Divinity Original sin(and commander)

Let's say I had no motivation to. The dragon sections were the weakest element of Divinity 2, and I found it odd that they decided to build a whole game around the concept.

    Divinity Original sin(and commander)

Well, I just saw TotalBiscuit's preview of the game, and it does look quite promising. The only thing I'm a bit concerned about is the dialogue system - as cool as it is for coop, I want to be able to play comfortably in single-player without missing out on too much. Anyway, too bad I don't...

    Dark Souls 2

Well, it's more of an issue that if you're making a PC port, you'd better make damn sure that you've got working MK&B controls. Whether you elect to buy one and what games you use it with is a completely separate issue. I own one too, but it doesn't make DS controls good or the game a better...

    Dark Souls 2

And, that's acceptable how? It's not just about graphical options though - it's also about everything else from controls to options to menus... Any game, where I need to set up my keys or controller through a third-party program is a shitty port. And yeah, the vanilla game looked...

    Divinity Original sin(and commander)

I'm talking about the Dragon Commander game, the idea of which I find kind of silly, and I doubt it'll do that well. It's almost as if they expect that one to bomb, so they've decided to kickstart the game their fans would've actually cared about.

    Dark Souls 2

You can grind levels or you can repeatedly run at a boss until you memorize all the details. Both are grinding. Some monsters are nearly impossible w/o the right equipment, and the right equipment has high skill requirements. In short, much of it feels like work and artificial extension of a...

    Divinity Original sin(and commander)

    1) I don't see why they need to kickstart this - their previous games were successful enough, so I'm sure they wouldn't have too much trouble with finding a publisher. Oh wait, they decided to make a silly dragon-flying arcade game instead of a Divinity sequel. 2) Divine Divinity doesn't...

    Obsidian's Project Eternity

 Now if only they ditched all that nonsense about R2WP, we'd have a true sequel to TOEE. Ohwell. Maybe they'll be nice enough to release a dev. toolset.

    Dark Souls 2

Not such a bad idea, IMO. DS looked like a good game with great atmosphere and setting, but TBH I lost interest not even halfway through (during the forest level), because it appeared like way more effort than it is worth. It wasn't hard, just tediously annoying - and not nearly fast-paced...

What to play after you've played everything?

Same as how you stomach combat in PS:T, Neverwinter 1 or any number of other games with excellent storytelling and poor to mediocre combat. Or, you make a Pyrotechnic Axe, and pretty much speed-auto-win anything combat-related  P.S. I find TOEE much more replayable than Arcanum...

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I've gotten to playing it recently as well, and got burned out about halfway through. Maybe I've been spoiled by modern graphics - not sure. I remember HL1 being a much better game than HL2 seemed. I agree on your comments that it seems fairly monotonous at times; and some levels last longer...

What to play after you've played everything?

Usually, that's a good sign it's time to go outside for a little bit  I usually resort to TBS game because they're fun and are also nice timesinks. Civ IV, Disciples II, Endless Space... If all fails - go arcade, like Shank or Super House of Dead Ninjas :D

I dunno, I like how the focus-mode combat sounds, and I loved Ritchie's Holmes :|

Torment: Tides of Numenera Screenshot, FO3 DLC sale

Basically - the way TOEE did it in 2003. More or less, anyway. Admittedly, this does look good, but it's hardly anything groundbreaking. The screenshot looks like they're keeping some of the original PS:T spirit, like that.

    Fallout 3 writing editorial

Unfortunately, they seem to be in love with FO3... I was really disappointed when they used it as one of their examples in the episode on good videogame writing
