    Are we going to see the blue or other-colored combat armors integrated into the game? It would be nice if some NPCs used them, or if one/multiple of the upgrade CAs used the animation sets.

    Humm.. i know for a damn fact that we used to unpack the .dat and play the game. Maybe isolate the files in a folder called whatever.dat? I'm sorry I can't be more specific, this is pulling from experience over 13 years old.

    iirc, you don't need to repack it at all. Unpack the .DAT, so everything is now in \Data\ Delete the movies, or maybe replace with 0 bit txt with the extension changed (if deleting the movie gives error when trying to play). Open your fallout.cfg file, and under [system] you'll see...

    I think the regular Fallout 1/2 inventory graphics with the FOT ground art look great, I actually prefer the original inventory art over the tactics versions. I can't tell if we're saying the same thing, or if you're saying that the FOT inventory art should be used in conjunction with the ground...

    I like it all, assuming the spikes also get the penetrate perk. I don't know if the exact stats for any armor are suitable, I'd think a high DR / low DT threshold suits fibrous material, with low resistance to fire and laser. The DR from metal sounds about right, with regular DT & fire / laser...

    1280 x 800 on my 1920x1200 monitor gives me all the visual details without feeling cramped. 1920x1200 looks nice, but you loose too much detail in the art, and just can't appreciate it like you can when you're more zoomed in. 960 x 600 is also good for these big widescreens but for some reason...

    here here! I agree with Sir Mash. EDIT: .Pixote, I grabbed a few screens for you. Overall it looks like Klamath and Den are completely compatible with that resolution, but none of the encounter maps are, nor would certain maps with 'special' art I imagine (i.e. outside temple of trials)...

    Question re: the "something other than x86" comment: Are you looking at smartphone / tablet or console (i.e. Wii) versions? Given how easy it is to hook up an external HDD to a Wii and launch homebrew, this was my first thought ;)

    good review, made me try out FOnline 2238 for the first time. It's a good deal different, but definitely fun. One thing though: it seems like running is pretty slow. I think i've been spoiled by the sfall speed tweaks.
