    Miracles of SCIENCE! in Fallout

Zimmer says the same thing. "Androids have fake skin, and blood, and are programmed to simulate human behavior, like breathing. They can even eat and digest food realistically."

Kotaku articles on Fallout 1 and 3

In Italy I seriously doubt that that is common knowledge. Personally I had never heard of its existence before your post.

Did James have to kill himself in Fallout 3?

James' solution is indeed amazing. Instead of going from settlement to settlement and build small individual purifiers (the bucket of rust in Megaton fits in a shack and manages to provide water for all the denizens) his great idea is to connect the one pre-war, experimental, unstable...

Kotaku articles on Fallout 1 and 3

Yeah, this. Getting a glimpse of living in a Vault is actually a very interesting idea, but they botched it and now I doubt it will ever be used again (so no chance of getting it right the next time).

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Huge Disappointment

The paralled between VAs and the characters, obviously. Nothing deep. Of course. Never said otherwise. Every single Snake could have had a different voice (well...in the west they do now) and I wouldn't bat an eye. Never had a problem personally with the change of VA in MGS5.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Huge Disappointment

Solid Snake maybe less than a perfect clone but is certainly more than a son and given how bonkers the series is with genetics that's not conclusive proof. And again, Solidus. It isn't entirely out of a question for a twin to have a different sounding voice but the opposite is also true. Also...

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Huge Disappointment

Not an exact clone, and even then, regardless of what the Japanese voices are like, none of the other clones share voice actors in English. The only reason they had the same voice was for thematic reasons in MGS3. On one hand you are saying that it's not a good reason for having the same...

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Huge Disappointment

Why? Snake is his clone. A lot of twins have nearly identical voices. If anything it's strange that while Naked, Solid and Solidus Snake all have the same voice (in japan) Liquid has a different one.

Something funny I noticed in Fallout New Vegas.

Well, if we don't count uniques, in FO2 and FO3 (vanilla) there are actually more Big Guns than Energy Weapons. Especially in the latter (4 'main' Energy Weapons vs 6 'main' Big Guns).

    Obsidian's Project Eternity

I don't particularly like fantasy but I'm really pumped for this game. Funnily, while Wasteland 2 will have a NMA Bar, Pillars of Eternity will have a NeoGaf Inn. :D

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on Steam

Release date is January 9 and for the low low price of 20 bucks (-20% if you pre-order) you'll get the game plus all the DLCs (costumes included). The PC version will also include a cutscene viewer, a codec player, a boss-battle mode, multiple resolutions and AA and the option to choose how many...

WTF is wrong with Wasteland 2 price tag? [Warning: Rage and hate]

...and? In Italy it's a twelfth of the average monthly wage. What a stupid argument. Value of a game is tied to its budget now? Ports of arcade games like Street Fighter already made their money back in the arcades, should they cost half the price?

    John Carmack leaves id Software

Why would he form another company if it was HIM that sold it in the first place? Anyway he seems to be done with game development. Now he works for Oculus VR, a company that is working on the Oculus Rift, a head mounted VR display.

    John Carmack leaves id Software

This is the only actual article I read on the matter. Otherwise just rumours. http://kotaku.com/five-years-and-nothing-to-show-how-doom-4-got-off-trac-468097062

    John Carmack leaves id Software

I doubt it, Carmack AFAIK wasn't involved that much anymore with the projects they were doing (aside from the tech stuff). Who knows how the higher ups at Zenimax will react, though? Personally I think id won't survive for long. The only project they have is Doom 4 and rumours has that its...

    John Carmack leaves id Software

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/22/doom-creator-john-carmack-officially-leaves-id-software I'm one of those that thinks that id lost its way and relevance after Quake 3. At this point I don't know what value this studio has anymore for Zenimax. Their IPs aren't that valuable nowadays and...

    The state of videogames

And I'm not denying that. Not only that, but we as kids wanted to see that kind of thing because we weren't supposed to (the forbidden fruit!), because it was for grown-ups. But Kenshin and Kenshiro weren't made for kids.

    The state of videogames

Things like the Power Rangers (which by the way I found incredibly stupid even when I was a kid, always surprised me the success it had) don't even try to pretend that they aren't dumb and silly. Michael Bay does and that's the real problem with his movies (and, frankly a lot of other movies)...

    The state of videogames

Despite some jankiness, a lot of older games have more depth that their contemporary counterparts. How is that not an argument? It's not that new games are crap, it's that true masterpieces are rarer and rarer because everyone is afraid of pushing the envelope because it could restrict the...

    The state of videogames

Damn, how could I forget them? :( I even have the former. Oh, and Dragon's Crown too. ... Ok, I was wrong on this one, even though it seems to me that they reapperead only recently. Cadillacs & Dinosaurs is still king though. Yeah, that genre is at its stongest now, even better...
