    Fallout: New Vegas screenshots

Aside from the green tint, there is not much I would fault Fallout 3 for in the environmental sense. Some of the vistas really tickled that post-apoc nerve for me and generally speaking, I think they did a good job of the whole 50s of the future thing. The characters and models are a real...

    Chris Avellone talks Fallout 3

I think these are pretty good actually now that I think about it. I enjoyed Super Duper Mart for example. But the even in more unique locations, the gameplay gets a bit too repetetive. The landmine town was also pretty fun to play the first time around. I wouldn't call it incredible, but I...

OXM Podcast interviews Pete Hines on Fallout: New Vegas

Come one, he's cute. Very dreamy. Also, I don't know if he's just sorta blabbering there but he says that the scale (guessing that means the size of the world) will be similar to Fallout 3.

OXM Podcast interviews Pete Hines on Fallout: New Vegas

Pete seems to confirm a level 30 cap. Bad news if you ask me but I hope they'll manage to balance it a bit better. Nothing particularly new other than that and Zur coming back. Pete feels that the game feels very different in a visual sense, with the Vegas strip and the sorta ghost town feel...

Fallout: New Vegas OXM preview scans

Like BN says, the preview itself is absolutely horrible. It's obvious that noone had done any research whatsoever on the older games and how New Vegas could relate to them. Seeing as they're both on the West Coast, you'd think they'd take the time to at least look back on the older games, but...

Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout: New Vegas (and OXM)

Really seems to be quite a lot of things taken from Van Buren in this game. I think it probably feels good for the guy that were onboard to get that content out. Avellone and Sawyer in particular seem to feel pretty strongly about Van Buren. I know Avellone said somewhere he hasn't felt that...

Fallout: New Vegas magazine blitz detailed

I think this is a pretty good basic motivation for a Fallout game. At least no personal ties with a Dad or anything like that it seems. And refreshing to have a main character that is "out and about" at the start of the game. Great to have the choice but hope that they won't be generic bad...

    Fallout: New Vegas PSM3 scans

I'd say that a lot of the stuff highlighted in there sounds quite good. Seems like we will get the choice between NCR and Caesar's Legion and that hopefully it won't be a very simple good vs evil choice. Also lots of talking on choices and consequences which is great. I still hope there will...

    Bethesda to be at E3

If there is a gaming expo somewhere in Europe with Bethesda attending, I vote that Brother None pulls off his ninja spy shit once again. That was absolutely glorious.

PSM praises writing of Fallout: New Vegas

So what does it mean? Was there some sort of limit to dialogue writing inside the engine? If I remember correctly, there was a rather strict limit in Oblivion for how many words or whatever could be present in a dialogue line. Was that present in Fallout 3 also? Anyways, sounds good.

    New Vegas details

Definitely agree there. A developer will go "our AI is awesome and advanced!" and then you play the game and realize that it would've been much better in game if they had just done it like it in the older RPGs. As far as the "social AI" goes at any rate. I think the best overall AI I've seen...

    PC Gamer screens 'n images

bhlaab, while it's fair to assume that OEIs writing and game design will be better than Fallout 3, we don't know about that yet. I'm glad that they're doing it, but with the expectations the mainstream carries from playing Fallout 3, we know OEI have to cater to that. But I will also say that...

    New Vegas details

I don't really care much how the game looks, though that Super Mutant with the wig *does* look really bad. However, the scan Jargner linked to is pretty interesting. Making use of the Explosives skill there is a good touch and I really hope (and believe to an extent) that OEI will really open up...

    New Vegas debut trailer

Trailer didn't phase me either way. Cool things: 'Blue Moon' is a great song. Dude at the end looks pretty cool. Nice to see the NCR flag. Kinda cool to have it set at night, gives it a different mood. Bad things: Doesn't really scream Fallout much to me. The fucking music at the end...

OXM podcast to feature Pete Hines interview

We caught this one just a bit too late, as OXM was gathering questions for an interview via Twitter fours hours ago, and stopped an hour ago.<blockquote>Thanks for the questions all! Answers to follow in podcast form once the mag's on sale. Assuming we've got the iTunes feed sorted by...

Mark Morgan is not scoring Fallout: New Vegas

I'd just like to join the choir and voice my dislike against Zur. There are very little stuff he has done that has actually made me take interest, the only one I can think of at the moment is the Icewind Dale 2 soundtrack which was rather nice. Since then, I just feel he has failed whatever...

    Rumor: Fallout: New Vegas features

I've also been listening to a podcast right now featuring Todd Howard where people could ask questions to him. There was some brief talk about New Vegas but Todd just said he couldn't talk about it yet. The guy making the call was interestingly enough worried about New Vegas being in OEIs...

    Rumor: Fallout: New Vegas features

http://www.oxm.co.uk/viewer.php?mode=article&id=12563 Info coming February it seems. Can't believe that it actually says that the game is Bethesda's though. Kinda disrespectful.

    Rumor: Fallout: New Vegas features

An OEI developer with the username Mustang posted this in New Vegas thread at the OEI boards: Interpret as you will.

Age of Decadence Combat Demo Available

While this isn't "moder-times" so to speak, this is probably the best version and evolution of Fallout-ish combat there is. You definitely see the resemblance but it's a lot more fine-tuned and fun. Great stuff.
