I wonder if sawyer's mod with the modified DR values make Power Armor a lot more damage resistant than other armors? I haven't gotten to testing this myself.

This. I don't know about Morrowind (never got around to playing it) but with Oblivion, "Fallout" 3, and Skyrim, Bethesda (albeit with different development teams) has repeatedly shown their unwillingness or inability (whichever) to create a proper RPG that is actually interesting to me...

The Fallout wiki says it doesn't do anything nor can it be used for anything quest related either. Never really noticed the item myself.

To me, pretty much all of Bethesda's quests ranked high on the crap-o-meter. It was somewhere in the Brotherhood bunker during the main quest I just had to quit and uninstall. So I guess I remember that one as my least favorite. I certainly didn't do all quests, so there's probably even more...

Interesting points, all. I wondered if I had missed something - seems that the only references to the nature of Mr. New Vegas are only found outside of the game itself. The lack of in-game references to the radio stations has never bothered me, though.
