    Portal 2

Does it matter what it's called? The next Half Life game will continue on from Episode 2 and hopefully wrap up the battle with the combine for good. Whether it's called Episode 3 or Half Life 3 is irrelevant, though whatever it is I suspect it will be at least a 20 hour game.

    Is that confirmed?

    Portal 2

Something I'd say Portal requires praise for rather than scorn. It it's long enough to satisfy while being short enough to keep your attention. I could see 3-5 hour games at £10 or so being a great way to bring new quirky and original IPs to the public with little risk of failure and would love...

    Portal 2

That's how it feels to me. Partly because of how long it's taken, but also looking at where Episode 2 left us. Could they really have tied up every loose end in a 5 hour game?

    Portal 2

To me it feels like the only reason Valve connected the Half Life and Portal universe together is that they weren't sure if Portal would be able to stand up as an IP all on it's own. That and they used a lot of bits and pieces from the Half Life games to make Portal to cut down on costs, so it...

    Let me get this straight...

It's possible. You just might end up like this guy.

    Let me get this straight...

He is just very, very lucky when it comes down to it. No one is saying he could just brush it off. But it's certainly not impossible. I'll start calling bullshit only when there's footage of Victor collecting chunks of head.

    Portal 2

The problem with connecting the world in this new game is the time difference. Portal 2 is not yet years or decades after Portal, but centurys. So any sight of the outside world could potentially be a massive spoiler for Episode 3...Or then again it could be a very interesting story element...

    Portal 2

I find it hard to believe anyone who picked up Portal didn't finish it. I played though the whole thing again when I heard this news. It took me just over 2 hours. Your missing out. Spend an afternoon on it, your won't regret it. Brilliant ending.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Currently I'm trying to complete Earthworm Jim, hence the avatar. I began playing it when I was in Primary School, when I was roughly 7 or 8. I am now 18... I did leave it alone for a very, very long time but still.

    Portal 2

First of all, if you haven't played Portal, shame on you! Also this may contain spoilers. Portal 2, the sequel to the mind bending, laugh inducing short little slice of gaming heaven is being released this Fall. And it looks awesome. But don't take my word for it, I have the scans to prove...

OXM US Fallout: New Vegas preview scans

Hmm...Does that mean only the NCR areas will have power when the game begins? I'm still unsure about this. We'll have to wait and see.

OXM US Fallout: New Vegas preview scans

I was under the impression the NCR and CL only arrived recently, and Hoover Dam must have been in operation before then. Maybe it's owned by some sort of gang that charges the locals for power? In that case there would have be some sort of reason why they haven't been taken out yet. Or...

OXM US Fallout: New Vegas preview scans

So...who's in control of Hoover Dam when the game begins? I have no idea if that's a NCR flag or what.

    Fallout: New Vegas screenshots

Fallout 3 is definitely an improvement to Oblivion graphically. The difference is that the Soarce engine is just better. It was made almost a decade ago and is only just starting to show it's age.

Never noticed this "green tint" to be honest *shrug*.

    Fallout: New Vegas screenshots

Didn't mind it so much with Fallout 3 though. It's the post apocalyptia, it's going to look like shit. That was also why I didn't mind the lack of colour that I usually hate in modern games. Concrete grey and dogshit brown felt like the perfect colour pallat for the wasteland. It probably...

    Fallout: New Vegas screenshots

It's incredible that Bethesda have managed to get away with using this engine for so long. Then again I remember loading Oblivion onto my computer maybe 4 years back and thinking it looked incredible. Then I saw a wide faced green tinged elf staring at me with unblinking eye's and it killed...

NCR Ranger Armor and Pelit scans

Oh dear god, don't remind me of that movie  OT: Articles keep getting this wrong. The courier doesn't have amnesia. He just doesn't know who shot him or what was in the package. He probably doesn't know who to or from he was delivering.
