    Pull those pants up!

http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/02/09/low.pants.ap/index.html Yes, exposed underwear is the bane of America. I wish they lived in my district so I could not vote for them.

    Leon spills the beans

What Troika needs (besides cash) is to either find a good place to do QA or start releasing closed betas. They have yet to release a game that wasn't severely hindered by bugs.

    Fallout influences

I've heard similar concerning Lucas - that he really dislikes the implications "shades of grey" bring to his plain GvE ideological universe. He's paranoid about his franchise.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for the 16th

Good yes, but the thing working against them is their timing. Coming out right against WoW, EQ2, HL2, the new Prince of Persia... Crowded docket.

If You're *That* Distraught Over Bush's Reelection:

The thing that is bothering me the most is the lack of accountability with these programs. There's no paper trail, no "voting receipt" to use as a fail-safe, no way to make sure the program is totalling the votes right. Nickles and dimes add up in the end. All it would take is one smart-ass.

But the internet isn't currently a viable campaigning tool for a national level campaign simply because of the noise to info ratio. it takes a lot of saturation to get elected, and I think the candidates this year spent almost half a billion dollars combined.

    USA elections

None of which are in my neck of the woods. :)

    USA elections

Come down to my inconsistent neck of the woods - the only county that carried Kerry was Buchanan (which is the armpit of Virginia) yet House candidate Triplett - who crowed the Bush party line almost to the letter and played up "old King Coal" - lost to Rick Boucher (Demo incumbent since '82) by...

I hope not. That would cause a fair amount of chaos given at least five electors would have to do that. I voted Badnarik.

    Iraq - coming to 1000

That was Gore's strategy in 2000. Go for the big states. That's how he was able to win the popular vote but still manage to lose the election. And before another Florida thing pops up: he didn't carry his own home state which would have made Florida irrelevant.

    Russian stance on terror

I remember reading somewhere the Chechen insurgents were trying to start an all-out war in the Caucasus (sic) region with the school kidnapping.

Sen. Zell Miller (democrat) @ Republican convention.

Right now, the Republicans are doing all they can to keep Kerry on the defensive. All the accusations and finger pointing and smear campaigns serve to keep Kerry's focus off of his campaign and more on defending his reputation.

    Shouldn't that be "pWn3D" instead of "b0mb3d"?

StarWArs Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith----Offical tittle

Natalie Portman isn't a terrible actress, unlike the 2x4 playing Anakin. The scripts have been atrocious.

    The British Version of "Rocky"

Tyson's camp is claiming Tyson tore his left knee ligament sometime in the first round, which killed his ability to fight. I haven't seen anything verifying this yet. Maybe it's just because AGE is catching up to him? Most fighters are done before they hit their late 30s.

    King Arthur flicks

Judging on previews, King Arthur gives me the feeling of an action movie rather than a retelling of the Arthurian legend. Seriously... Guenivere? Sure she might look good but a lady of Camelot being a bow-swinging leather-wearing Celt-looking warrioress?

    Market Theory Becomes Market Fact.

Health insurance is the primary reason these days. Even with so-called cost-effective HMOs (which had to have been the worst thing to ever happen to health care) the costs of insuring employees kept rising out of proportion to other expenses. Therefore, it was more economical to work one...
