    Interplay files 8K

You're right Saint. The question is the clause itself. Does it allow BethSoft to continue as per the agreement until the game is fulfilled or a transfer of the license in case of corporate failure.

    Interplay files 8K

Yes. BethSoft has a license to use the IP of Fallout, not the complete rights to the franchise. If I'Play does go bankrupt the Fallout IP would likely be one of the assets put up for sale or auction.

Saint Proverbius talks on the situation

That would be corporate suicide. Bethesda cannot not make FO3 now after spending whatever amount it was to acquire the license. To spend like that and get no return on the investment is just dumb. What's wrong with making our voices heard? True, some of the attacks have been a bit over...

Tycho of Penny Arcade jots down his thoughts on Fallout 3

Maybe he wants Rosh to be lead designer. :D

    Rosh talks about Bethesda

Actually, I think we're doing the right thing Mad Dog - making sure Bethesda knows we're aware of what's going on and are not afraid to express ourselves in praise or outrage depending on what the company decides to put forth.

    Bethesda and the SPECIAL license

The skill system was revamped so you had combat, non-combat, and the magic trees. It used a variation on skill improvement that had costs going up every 75 pts. Plus I think you only got ral bonuses out of the skill after investing a lot of points into them. (IIRC - the box is still packed up...

Exactly. They've put out a good deal of ambiguity and contradictiory statements which doesn't help the case any at all. If someone would come out and say something solid without resorting to backpedaling or FUD it would be much more appreciated than the current information released.

    Bethesda and the SPECIAL license

The question is are they going to use it intact, tinker with it for their own ends, or use it as a guideline into making their own system for the project.

Feds want power to cancel or reschedule elections

The alert status is a joke. It parallels the story of the boy who cried wolf. It's gone up and down and up and down with ambiguous warnings that resulted in no real effects. The point is being reached where people don't really pay attention to it anymore.

    Rosh talks about Bethesda

No it wasn't - the most fun I had was playing through trying to not kill anything at all, even the stupid rats in the V13 cavern. It's too easy and too expected to run through guns blazing like some action-movie addict. And there's more than enough shooters on the market to cater to that...

*sigh* Is it just me but is the board becoming flooded with the mighty and clueless drones since bethesda's announcement?

    Enron's ex-CEO in custody

Ex-Enron CEO surrenders to FBI Anything going to come of this? Or is it going to be a farce trial that lasts entirely too long and comes up with no result?

Indecision 2004- the Campaign for the White House-

It all depends on the spin. Edwards does have one of the most liberal voting records in the Senate (ranked among Teddy Kennedy and Barbara Boxer). The way he votes could scare some traditionalist voters who may have been closer to Kerry's center than Edwards is located.

Interplay founder looks back on the past 20 years

You're missing Rosh's point. The general belief is BioWare won't make a true Fallout RPG - more than likely sacrificing it for another action/RPG hybrid along the lines of post-apoc NWN or KoToR. Primarily because those are the games that have sold big for BioWare.

    More from Luke

They're doing a great job of fixing the fence now that all the cows have bolted. These people need to face-up to reality. I'play is on life support at the moment, waiting for someone to come in and yank out the plug.
