Um, ok, Fallout 2 was NOT made by Bethesda. So, that doesnt count. Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 are the only 2 games that have Dogmeat in it (though, when I watched the gameplay trailer it said simply "Dog"). So, 2 games does not seem like a stretch.

Who says this is even the same Dogmeat? I mean, Dogmeat from Fallout 3 is not the same as Dogmeat from Fallout 1, and neither is this version of Dogmeat. The name is just fanservice.

I think the voiced protagonist might just be an option you can turn off. As well as I think you will have the option of different voice actors/ actresses for your character. Though I dont see how having a voiced protagonist prevents choices.

They also said "we arent spoiling anything" so there probably is some gameplay between entering the vault and leaving the vault that wasnt shown that would show you what happened to your family and the rest of the vault.
