    replaying new vegas, mod sugestion

Thanks for the links so far, Ragemage. So, first research results: It seems that moburma80 discovered a lot of material back in 2012. It's astonishing how much finished content wasn't implemented in the final release. As far as I can see, most of his work has been mentioned in this thread so...

Thanks for pointing out those mods. Definitely adding them for my second playthrough. I'll have to do some more research on restoration mods too. Is there perhaps something like killap's Restoration Project for New Vegas?

You should install the Mission Mojave community patch too. It's an absolute must have. Then there's Mission Mojave Plus. It's basically a mod pack with interesting gameplay additions and some restored contend mods included. So it's perfect for a second playthrough.

What makes a "Fallout" game a real Fallout game to you?

Absolutely. The classic Fallouts and New Vegas contain a lot of Western tropes. Like the one of the lone wanderer (in general), who travels the Prairie/wastes and passes by lonely oases of civilisation, where he's confronted with the problems of the inhabitants in a world where law and order are...

9/10 - I really enjoy the whole Hotline Miami Soundtrack. Hell, I even bought the first game mostly because of the soundtrack.

Music that you associate with FNV

This track actually made me replay the classics Fallouts to set the mood for my second New Vegas playthough. Nostalgia's strong with this one.

Things we learned from Fallout 4

Dude.... just... why? Leave the west coast alone, damn it. So... invasion of the underground aliens in Fallout 5? :whatever:

Where would you set Fallout 5?

I enjoyed the setting of Honest Hearts and it would be interesting to see the daily life in Legion territory. So in a Fallout 5 (made by Obsidian) I would like to see more of the states to the north and east. I'm thinking of Arizona, Utha and so on. In general it would be nice to explore more of...

    Throwing stuff in Wasteland 2

I haven't played the DC yet, so I can't tell from my own experience, but this video should cover it:

    Throwing stuff in Wasteland 2

The devs changed some gameplay mechanics in the director's cut, so my setup possibly won't help you much. But I don't remember the explosive guys being such a pain in the ass. I don't know if it's related to the changes or just an aspect of playing on hard. I played on normal. But, yeah, a...

    Throwing stuff in Wasteland 2

Are you playing the original game or the director's cut? The best way to play Wasteland 2 is to run a team of different specialists and combine their unique abilities. So you'll always be prepared for every possible situation. I played with the following composition and it went quite well...

Fallout New Vegas Review by DirtyOldShoe

And still managed to deliver the better Fallout. Just imagine, what could've been... All the concepts that weren't implemented. Stuff like the whole aspect of Caesar's Legion and so on.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Nope. You can ask the companions to step aside (with mods), but there's no way to interact with npcs in that manner. At least I didn't notice no way to do it. Neither right-click nor dialogue.

    Fallout 4 Review (DOS style)

Damn... I'll wait until the price drops below the 5€ mark before even considering a purchase.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Finished Fallout yesterday. I like the Followers of the Apocalypse, but their reinforcements can be a real pain in the ass... always blocking my character inside of the Cathedral. Now it's time for Fallout 2. :)

    The Panama Papers

I'm afraid the whole thing will be swept under the carpet quite soon.
