Pillars of eternity, worth to look

Yeah, that's true. It's one of the main causes to playing the game as a pacifistic diplomat. ;) In this context I really enjoyed the pacifistic/diplomatic ending, where you are able to debate yourself through the encounter.

Pillars of eternity, worth to look

Have played Planescape: Torment yet? I felt in a similar way, when I played it for the first time a few years ago. Story, characters and setting are one of a kind. This game makes you realize, what games could be capable of in terms of storytelling and role-playing.

Fallout 1 mod Fallout Fixt - next release will be some time in Jan 2020

Really enjoying the this mod so far. Especially the minor changes in gameplay, that enhance the experience as whole. The restorations are also a nice addition. Good job, guys!

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Replaying Fallout right now. It must've been six years or so since the last time. And thanks to the tell-me-about topic lists in the wiki and the Restoration Mod I'm getting some new content too, which is nice. :)

    Talking heads: Tell-me-about topics?

I checked it again and you're right. Totally overlooked that section in the wiki... Thanks for pointing it out.

Even after Fallout 4, many fans still asking for an Obsidian developed Fallout

I fear that this market isn't big enough for Beth/Zenimax. And then I think of the fuss they made about Obsidian missing the one point in metacritic... But yeah, I really hope, something like New Vegas will happen again some time in the future.

    Talking heads: Tell-me-about topics?

I started replaying Fallout yesterday and today I found out, that Killian Darkwater also has something to say on the Great War, which is nice. So, is there some sort of list with all possible tell-me-about topics online? The fallout bible doesn't have a full list and there seems to be nothing on...

    Tyranny Discussion Thread

Yup, that's a good point. I think that the classic D&D alignment system offers a good starting point in this context. So, likely lawful evil characters are the best option to run such an empire.

    Obsidian Wasteland?

Chris Avellone designed and wrote the backstory of the Agricultural Center as example. And yes, a major collaboration between the two studios in a possible Wasteland 3 would be amazing.

We need a Sci-Fi Space RPG! Fantasy is saturated.

That's why I'm really interested in Cyberpunk 2077. I'm curious to see, if CD Project manages to deliver outside of the Witcher universe.

Played the classic Fallout games after playing the new games.

I own a lot of games on GOG and never had a real issue. I can really recommend it. To keep it on topic: I had a similar experience like you concerning Fallout. My first contact with the franchise occurred with the first Fallout 3 trailers. They caught my attention and I started to do some...

Pete Hines explains what Bethesda's idea of a RPG is

Dude, don't give them ideas. >_> Yup, that's true. But at least in today’s gaming market there's a certain variety. There're a lot of fresh ideas and diversity to be found in the indy/small studio section. The AAAs on the other hand are mostly heading towards repetition and monotony (with...

Played the classic Fallout games after playing the new games.

Perhaps you should get it from GOG. It's my place of choice for older games. In my experience the games there always work on modern systems (contrary to Steam).

The Ultimate Movie Thread of Ultimate Destiny

Perhaps the Superman vs. Batman fiasco marks a turning point in that matter? But besides of that it's business as usual in Hollywood: Milk it until it dies.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Yup, they did. When the Xenomorph began to hunt Ripley for the first time in the psychiatric hospital, I just hid in one of the vents and waited there for 15min straight. 8-)

What is your top 3 favourite game studios?

I like the classic Fallouts better too, but you should give Baldur's Gate 2 a try. In many ways it's better then the first part.

Pete Hines explains what Bethesda's idea of a RPG is

On the other hand there're modern games like the Dark Souls series, that have a huge audience and are advertised and appreciated for being hard. So there's a market for unforgiving games, there're people who want a challenging game experience. So I think, that we shouldn't generalize.
