Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

And now you've changed back to the wrong thread again... perhaps an insult would jog your memory?

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Well, what I mean is, the Restoration installer was updated yesterday. After you install it, some fixes in the fixes directory on the web (acmorlis.int etc) are the same as the one installed, while others (tribei1.int etc) are different. Because of this, I wonder if we're supposed to install the...

Braziligga p-l-z. I wasn't talking about the fixes, but the installer.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

I noticed the installer itself (F2_Restoration_Project_1.1.exe) was also updated.. should we re-install using this new installer and then apply the new fixes?

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Wrong thread; all your questions are gameplay related and should be posted in the gameplay thread. Also, it won't help Killap at all unfortunately unless you reinstall according to the instructions and with the latest files and reproduce the error and then specify details about your OS, FO2...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Unfortunately, that can't be fixed. Look at it was a way to really get to familiarize yourself with the temple o'trials. =] Please look at the first post in this thread and/or the readme that comes with the Expansion.

Damn you! Now you made me hungry.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

The Restoration mod (any version) can only overwrite a humongous/minimal FO2 v1.0 installation. Restoration v1.1 requires all the latest fixes (including the OS specific ones) to work.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Killap has said he will either fix the EPA problems in Restoration 1.2 or create workarounds for the parts that crash. I think the Restoration 1.2 thread will be best place to discuss this.

Don't know. Someone asked if you had the bag in your inventory when you picked up the trunk. Well, punk. Did you?

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

This has been reported and discussed many times. If you want to help, please look through the pages and search for "trunk", and see what others have written. Don't submit a savegame unless you write exactly which OS/FO2 you are using and exactly how you installed it and exactly when you...

Re: Just an idea... You'll get more answers in the "engine tweaks" thread. This thread is for discussing technical aspects of the 1.1 version of the Restoration Project. http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38116

When I tried rescaling/streching using the ddraw.dll tweaks, the game became unplayably sluggish. Your milage hopefully varies...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

If deleting patch000.dat doesn't work, try a minimal installation (to an empty directory) instead of a humongous. And remember to download all the fixes unless you did it after 27-Jan-2008 23:21.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Killap's Expansions includes modifications that allow you to play in a "window" by changing settings in ddraw.ini: This isn't documented in the Expansion AFAIK, but there was some talk about it in either this thread or the corresponding Expansion 1.0 thread. Perhaps you could try it and see if...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

You have to read all posts by Killap in this thread to know (or monitor the "fixes" directory automatically, like I do), so I don't blame you. When Killap releases the next version of the Expansion (v1.2) there hopefully will be no more need for fixes. (According to his previous posts in this...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Win98? I think most testing was done on XP. Could you make a savegame available for us? Or if you can't, just mail it to Killap (see first post for address) with full information about your system and FO2. EDIT: "all the fix" are updated silently sometimes. What you need is...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Yeah, it's just so that the FO2 installer can uninstall later or so that official patches know what version is installed. Some modding utilities also use this to know where FO2 is installed. I believe Killap's Expansion also uses this for something more than just to determine the FO2 location...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

The past few fixes have mostly been about crashes, so I strongly recommend you re-install (and do it by the book (i.e. humongous to an empty directory + Expansion installer 1.1 + *all* fixes for your OS)) immediately since you don't have the latest version of things. I don't think there are any...
